No, you don't have to be on drugs to come up with a phrase like that.  I don't do drugs, and I come up with so called "weird" phrases every now and then.

In the Legend of Link video I saw on YouTube, Link shot Tingle down and Navi's like, "You should help him! Heros help people, even if they're stupid!"

Yeah, but Superman is muscular. TIngle is shaped like a...shall we say a legume of some sort?
