Because that's the Great Faerie's fountain.  He probably think it would be disrespectful he goes there and asks the Great Faerie to follow him around.  And I think that in MM, he wants to be a faerie, but I can't remember right now.

Link wasn't a Kokiri, and he got Navi.  And the Kokiri turned into Koroks, and they don't seem to have faeries with them anymore.  Anyway, maybe Tingle doesn't have a faerie yet because he didn't go out looking for one.  He's just waiting for it to happen, and you usually get something you want faster if you try to get it.

Hey, Link is harrassing Tingle.  He's the one popping Tingle's balloon and making him fall to the earth.  And you wonder why his prices are so high in TWW.  Tingle is still paying off medical and insurance bills. :P

Tingle was up there making the maps.  Link interrupted him.

Well if he wants to sell any he has to have a conveineint way to get down.

He probably does.  Plus, we only see him sell maps when Link shoots him down to buy one.  He probably has a store somewhere in Clock Town to sell them.

Well, if they did put Tingle into jail for the way he dressed, why not Zunari?  He's wearing a parka during either spring or summer.  I know he comes from a colder land, but still, people would think that is strange also.

Also, Tingle's crime was non-violent.  I believe he just tried to enter the Private Oasis to get the second Triforce chart.  Had he successfully got it and not got thrown in jail, he may have just shared that information with you.

Plus, Tot, that guy who dances in front of the gravestone is always wearing that jumpsuit.

In the Fourswords Adventures, on the first level, I used a fire rod on Tingle, and he fell into the water!

Well, admit Tingle wasn't at his best in TWW. 3 crimes verus 1 good deed, and then I'm not talking about the money (which I think he had every right to ask) or the fact he was thrown in jail. However, MM Tingle and TMC Tingle were okay.

The only good part is hes too weak to pull up 100 Force Gems.
