Two things that have been bothering me for awhile.

I guess I could've given each question its own topic, but I just chose to put them together. :)

Okay, the first question is: Who is the "true" owner of the Triforce of Power? What if someone other then Ganondorf would've touched the Triforce. Off course someone else whose balance would be more "wisdom" or "courage", allowing "power" to go to its "true" owner. I don't think Ganondorf would've gotten it in that case, but who would've? I don't think Link or Zelda would've gotten it in return for not getting the pieces they have now. Any thoughts?

Secondly, why is Tetra princess Zelda? Why isn't she princess Tetra? This may sound like it's not a big deal, but I can't find a logical answer. (Unless I put the ancient events of TAOL before the events of TWW, which thanks to the flood doesn't really make much sense either.) Tetra seemed quite surprised about her other identity, so it's not logical to think her real name is Zelda. So why isn't she just princess Tetra? Link doesn't carry the same name all the time either, and that's perfectly fine. I know, it's not really comparable, but close enough.

Hi no Seijin

On your second question, if Tetra was Zelda all along, Ganondorf would've already kidnapped her, and, quite possibly, Link would never have faced him, seeing as the whole game started with saving Link's sister, who was kidnapped by a minion of Ganondorf.  Secondly, if Tetra was Zelda the whole time, where would the plot twist be?  Also, since when are pirates named Zelda?   Tetra is a better pirate name.  Lastly, here's what I think went down with the flood (influenced by The Missing Link with his Book of Mudora).  Zelda and Link are born before the flood and are around twelve when Ganondorf breaks free of the Dark World (or Sacred Realm, whichever you prefer).  When the goddesses flood Hyrule, they transport the Hylians to the islands.  To help them cope with their sudden change of environment, the goddesses replaced their memories with new ones, ones where they had lived their whole lives on the ocean.

i think, that if Ganondorf didnt get the triforce of power, it wouldve stayed together with the other pieces. the only reason the triforce broke apart is because ganon touched it without a balanced heart and it broke apart, leaving him with what he most believed in. If he never touched it, it wouldve never broken in the first place.

Well say somebody else broke it and didnt get power? That is what she is trying to say. I think Nabooru or some other gerudo. Not b/c I like I just really think it would.

Hi no Seijin

Why would it be another Gerudo?  Sure, Nabooru is second-in-command, but how did she get that job?  And none of the other Gerudos show signs of wanting power.  Why can't it be a Hylian noble?  Nobles often lust for power.

First of all there arent any hylian nobles so yeah. And you dont think they crave power? I do. And thirdly its an opinion.

Hi no Seijin

Can you be sure that there aren't any Hylian nobles?  Hyrule is a huge nation, and there's no way any video game system can capture it all.  There may be more to Hyrule than what we can see in the game.

And what is "And you don't think they crave power?" supposed to mean?  Do you mean the Gerudos or the the Hylian nobles?

Also, yes, I know it's an opinion.  But I was essentially asking, "Why you think the way you do?"  Why do you think the Gerudos want power?  If you're going to present your opinion, be ready to back it up.

Going back to the "And you don't think they crave power?" thing, be specific.  You were just talking about Hylian nobility, and you used they in the next sentence.  Naturally, people are going to assume you mean the Hylian nobles, even though you might mean the Gerudo.  When you write, you can't assume people are going to know what you're talking about; you have to clarify it for them.

Because they arent in the game......

I meant the gerudos

And ok then I will....They are pushed on crappy desert land and forced to make their life there so they may want to have power to live in a better place. And they capture all men so that shows they want power over something.

Hi no Seijin

Okay, you completely missed my point.  Just because you don't see something in a game doesn't mean it's not there.  Like I said, Hyrule is a thriving nation; there is no way the N64 could be capable of showing all of it.  There is no way Hyrule Castle Town can only have twenty or thirty people living in it.  There is no way the Hylian army can consist of ten soldiers.  Also, look at the size of Hyrule field.  It takes one in-game day to cross it, but only a minute or two in real time.  It's quite obvious Hyrule is miles wide, but the game can't show all of it.  Only the parts of Hyrule that is relevant to the game can be shown; everything else has to be hidden because of technological limitations.

And do we know for sure that the Gerudos were forced to live in the desert?  Couldn't it have been their choice, their way of life?  And do they capture men?  The Gossip Stone only said they come to Hyrule Castle Town to look for "boyfriends."  Perhaps the men are willing to provide their services; I surely wouldn't mind (but I would probably try to have a serious relationship with the Gerudo who approaches me).  Them capturing men (if they even capture them) is so they can survive as a race; it may have nothing to do with power.  And if it does have something to do with power, power over what?  Sexual power over men, as your last sentence would suggest, or a dictatorship over whole races, like Ganondorf wanted?  Or maybe power over the desert, even though it is a foolish notion to have?

Hi no Seijin

I'm well aware of that.  I was just letting everyone know of them, fulfilling the purpose of a forum.

I was just simply saying I disagree with pretty much all of that.

Hi no Seijin

Very well then.  It didn't hurt us to elaborate our ideas, now did it?

Is it safe again?  :-\

Okay then, personally, I think a Hylian would've gotten it, but I'm not really sure. It seems logical to me if they really are the "chosen" race and considering they got Wisdom, Courage and (once?) owned the Lightforce. I just wouldn't know who.

I don't think wanting or desiring power is enough to get it. I doubt Zelda ever desired wisdom, or Link courage, and that they only have it because of their Triforce pieces. It seems more likely you already have to posses it, believe in it and that the Triforce may improve it. Power also isn't a bad thing, but a neutral thing, like courage and wisdom.
