Master Goron

Just wondering... Has anyone here actually beaten Master Quest? It's quite the challenge(or so I hear).

Jack

Almost... there... I keep giving up in frustration.  :-\

Rievault

Ouch. Master Quest doesn't beat around the bush with dungeoneering. Just watching my brother play made my head hurt.

Master Goron

Actually, truth be told, I beat it last night. Which is weird since I haven't even beat the original, but it was pretty challenging in the later levels.

And looking back, I think Master Quest is infinitely better than OoT normally. I have been watching my friend playing and it seems so simple.

I didn't really think it was very hard at all. Just a couple rooms bothered me.

My advice, keep fighting, it'll soon be over. I was only playing for about 2 weeks(12 days for those who are technical), so it can be beaten quickly. For the record, 1:43 min Water temple. :P

I'm not sure... I'm very confused... I've beaten my OoT a while ago, but I'm not sure if it's Master Quest or not. I know that sounds corny, but I'll tell the story. My brother thinks I suck at playing video games, and he went on the computer and got on a walkthrough (not here!! :'() The walkthrogh had pictures of the room, what to do, etc. Okay, so I was in the fire temple, he had chosen the master quest walkthrough. I wasn't listening to anything he was saying, except at the beginning, he said: "Is there any fire walls here? " and I said no. So he swiched to the normal OoT  (but I pretty much knew what to do the whole time, even though I was nodding at everything he said, I wasn't really listening. heh heh heh) so I kept on going while ignoring what he was telling me to do, until near the end. I got the Boss Key and I went to the room where I saw Darunia. I couldn't get to the Boss Door, and there was a big gap between the door you come in and the boss door, and in that big gap was a hole in the lava. My brother told me that there should be a platform there. So he swiched back to the master quest walkthrough, and told me that there isn't a platform there,  and you have to go on a higher floor above that room, hit some big, rusty thing with the hammer,  and it will fall down, making the platform there to get to the boss door... I then relized that I have a half OoT, half Master Quest, and now... I am very confused!!!

Master Goron

No, you had to hit that down in both, I am sure. The way it sounds though, you were playing the original.  ;D

I did beat the Master Quest and yet I still think the Master Quest pales in comparison to Zelda II when it comes to challenge. Frankly there has yet been a game that I have thought as challenging as Zelda II.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

DarkZelda

master quest was a special version given to those who pre-orderd wind waker. it is supposed to be more challenging dungeons. i have not played it, and im in the middle of OoT. but i heard master quest was hard as crap!
