It really isn't.
It's in the old manga, and the translators obviously didn't get what it meant.

I found the link to this picture on TV tropes under the trope "Getting Crap Past The Radar".

Another instance of this is when my friend Jesus and I were watching flap jack last night (the episode love bugs) and in the beginning there are a bunch of shop stands. People are yelling out what they're selling, and a particular guy was yelling, "Crabs! Crabs! I've got crabs!! I've got crabs! Crabs!" XDD
