It's a joke about all of the other languages have very soft and beautiful sounding words for butterfly. But Germany's word (much like most german words) sounds really harsh, and warlike. It's a common joke about German words

I suppose if I were at least a little knowledgeable in European linguistics, I'd have found that funnier. Come to think of it, if only I were knowledgeable in linguistics in general, aside from strings of mathematical logic that count as parts of a language for some reason.
