Man, it took me ofrever, but I'll give you some advice, get as many hearts as you can, get all four bottles and fill them with Blue potion, get the Blue Mail (in the fifth, equally annoying dungeon in the Dark World), get as much skill as possible by fighting tough monsters and learning how to prepare to fight tough monsters, and save automatically when you enter, because if you die, before you do just shut down the game before you officially die, so you can just start over, full of health, weapons, and strength.

I think that Zelda Universe has a good walkthrough for the game, but I'm not sure. Zelda Planet might, too.

Wel, most of them were in Ganon's Tower and the Tower of Hera, which were very tough dungeons for me.

Ganon's tower wasn't to entirely hard for me.  Once you finish the basement, it's all pretty straightforward.  Just take the eastern route through the basement.

My record (because it tells you how many times you died) was 12 times. And I didnt have much trouble destroying Ganon. It depends, you might not have had the silver arrows when you took him on. There is also a bonus dungeon in the [GBA]Link to the Past/Four Sword where you can go if you're a true hero, and defeat four Links. And you can learn the hurricane spin if you beat Four Sword, and talk to the lumber man inside the house.
