I was just surfing around the net and I found this great site. They made this video player that can watch t.v. shows, play video games,DVDs,etc. But the best part is that it does all that without a screen. Its 2-D and it floats in the air but if you see the image from more than a few feet it looks 3-D. That's what the website said. Well, check it out. This is the address. www.io2technology.com

That is nuts!  I thought it would be a long long time before something like that ever came out.  It crossed my mind because of the holograms in the Star Wars movies, and I wondered how long it would be before we ever made anything like that.

Just imagine, Link killing Ganon and his hourdes in 3-D with no screen or putting your hand through digital link. That would be awesome.

Oh, and check out the videos. they're crap but watch them any way.

Vampire

Dang. How I have to dust behind the TV...

TP Zelda

T.V.... hmm... i know! like when ur playing Zelda, u could just walk through the screen and play in the game! u know like, folowing Link around and whatnot. that would be awsome!

MagmarFire

You know, I think hologram technology won't be a long way off. You probably need a medium to reflect the light, though.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

TP Zelda

dont u like my T.V. thought? oh. and u can do that with any game.

Davros

I believ that the true future of T.V.'s is smell. This would add a whole extra dimension to your involvement in a movie and would create a far more effective world. However this would mean that there would have to be a number of set smells that could get repetative... or you might run out of the perfume used...

TP Zelda

wat i added to my future T.V. is that when u go into the game, u could feel, talk, and smell guess nobody likes my T.V. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Actually, something very similar that you just described, TP Zelda, happened to a girl in a book that I read a few months ago. The girl gets trapped in a VR video game, and has to get out before the machinery in the game fails and perishes from the shock. The VR games allow its users to see the sights, smell the smells, and feel the feels. In case you haven't figured it out, it's a science fiction/fantasy book that takes place in the future.

What's wrong? It's a good book. In fact, it's much like Majora's Mask. In the game, the protogonist has to "survive" the game for three days, and if she loses a life, she needs to restart that three days all over again! Much like Majora's Mask, no?

yeah, i guess ur right, it is like MM! but still, nobody likes my T.V. :'(

What are you talking about!? That's a great idea! Plus, it could probably give gamers good exercise! ;)
