Hmm, I don't know about the weapon switch (allthough it might be interesting), but the bane/elemental idea might be good.

What I mean is, I do not wish to see another freaking game that uses fire/red/power beats plants/green/insanity beats water/blue/wisdom beats fire/red/power. I've seen that enough. The triangle thing and everything surrounding it (pokemon types are a nice example) are done and frankly, I think it's quite childish it still gets used so often. I won't like it if TLOZ would suddenly use that. However, a balanced system of attaching could work.

They could use the Sage Medaillons for it. Though they were probably never meant to have any real power (you could equip them in the Beta version though), I always thought it was odd they really didn't do anything. But with such a system, the sentence " adds his power to yours" isn't pointless anymore. But it should be well-balanced, no element should be stronger than another.

Hi no Seijin

On the weapon switch, think about it.  Swords and bows don't have to be the only weapon Link can use.  We know there are spears and scythes in Hyrule; it's just that Link never used them.  And why not?  What's stopping Link from using them?  The scythe doesn't have to be his primary weapon, or the weapon he needs to defeat whoever, but I don't see why he should be limited to just a sword.  I'd also like to see a few more spells.  There are plenty of magical items, but actual spells would be nice.

Hi no Seijin

In OoT.  In TMC, it's been stated in the game that Link went to school with Princess Zelda.

In the next new Zelda game, I'd really like to see a return of the Light Arrows. They were cool (but not as cool as the Fire Arrows).

If any arrows should return, it are the Silver Arrows.

Hi no Seijin

How about all the arrows, plus a few more with more elementals attached to them.  Or maybe poison arrows.  Or some other kind of crazy effect.

I know there are schools in the game, but I oppose that idea because it would be way too modern. If Link is a peasant he shouldn't be able to get an education (unless he decides to become a priest).

I want to see a more in-depth presentation of Hylian lore and legends. Even stuff that doesn't have any connection to the main storyline.

EDIT: I also want to see more originality in future Zelda games. Take the elements, for example. In TMC the elements are Earth, Water, Fire and Wind. However, Hyrule is not in our world, so why not add more elements? Like, a lot more. I'll mention the elements in the fantasy world I'm creating, as an example:

QuoteFamily of Téarino

Earth
Wood
Water
Ice
Fire
Poison
Lightning
Wind
Mana

Family of Derthrúaka

Life
Death
Illusion
Spirit
Time

Family of Aégorva

Heat
Cold
Light
Darkness
Shadow
Twilight

Not only are there a lot more, but I've also divided them into families (something I've never seen being used before). That's the level of originality I want to see.

Dude, no metal in your element list? Or Space (if you include Time, you gotta include Space).

Anyway, I'd like to see that as well. Especially because it can easily connect to the Sages. And I just really would like to know what there function is (or that of their Temples). Both seem to be a little pointless actually.

I would actually like to see Ganondorf use that sword that he swings around in SSBM. I have not seen that even in a video of TP.

What I'd like to see is different models for everyone! They did it once in TWW and that's it. All Humans and Hylians get a (more or less) different model so you can see who's who. But all members of any other race get the same model, except for the important ones. Right, that makes sense. Every Zora, Goron, Kokiri, Zuna etc. looks exactly the same, except for their leaders or the occasional other person who has a slightly bigger role. At least get a male and a female model. OOT's Gerudo had a fair amount of different models (still ridiculous compared to Hylians). If I remember correctly, they had 5 models, not counting Ganondorf, Koume, Kotake and Twinrova. Why not do that for all races? Because this is just stupid.

Probably the thing they should do next  is create dream or hallucinatory sequences, somewhat akin to Sanity's Requiem. It'd be a bit freaky though, but it; would do a lot to affect the atmosphere in game.

but (SPOILERS) there was that part in Tp, I saw it in IGN, where Link was like falling and there were thousands of pictures of a pupilless Ilia all around. Does this not qualify?

in the next zelda game i would like to see links mum and dad

Well, Link is usually an orphan in all the games...Oot,MM... In ALttP and MC he lived with master smith though.
