lol! No kidding. I wonder why he is so secretive about it. He has had a mask over the bottom half of his face ever since his childhood. Maybe it's just a fashion, like how Kankuro wears a hood, and how ANBU wear masks.

The ANBu wear the masks as a sign of their rank...I know he uses the mask to hide his Sharingan eye when he isn't fighting, but other than that...I'm intrigued...I wonder, are their picures or scenes of him as a kid where he doesn't have a mask?

Only pictures. It showed him with Obito, some other chick. He didnt wear his headband over his eye, but he still ahd the mask.

well, he has the eye as a result of his injury in a battle, perhaps his whole face was slashed as well, and he didn't feel like showing off his scars, like Raidou and Ibiki do...

After some research, I found out it was just a photoshopped scene of Kakashi.  To be honest, I think Kakashi looks the most "ninja-like" in the whole series.

maybe in part two he will die or something, and then we will see what was under the mask, like he will reveal it to Naruto along with words of encouragement or something.

1. That's a good point GameFreak. Most Ninja's (sterotypically) hide their lower face. However, Kakashi only shows a quarter of his face, so he is more Ninja-ish than ever!!

Kakashi covers his eye because of the Sharingan, he removes it when fighting, but he never removes the mask...this is what intrigues me.
