Yes, it's Japanese backwards. When I read the manga online (they kept the minish language the same), I could recognize a few words backwards. Some things sounded similar in the game (the yekopo-sound), so I guess it's their official language.

Strange, because "Gufuu", which is Vaati's Japanese name, translates into "tornado" (something of the sort) and Vaati is the wind mage/sorcerer and in FS and FSA her controls the tornadoes.

They may have. But I can't imagine naming someone "tornado"...maybe something..."fancier"...that someone wouldn't be able to guess what it meant.

smileys are my enemies. I do not understand why they are still called smilies when they are angry or frowning. this confounds and infuriates me, and thus I hate them.... ::) happy?sarcasm.

wonder how many of their houses were used in Syrup's potions...while they were inside. I guess that's how it gets the red color eh?

The Picori are ADORABLE.

I drew one at school, and everyone kept asking me what it was... xD

I ADORE the sound the mountain Minish make when you talk to them. Yattako, Yattako.... <3 God, I don't know, I'm so obsessed with them now it's like the Zoras don't exist anymore. (and they didn't in Minish Cap. ;w; So that's probably why.)
