suppose we don't care about the spirits and all the stuff that they are just animals named after the province, because if this is true the provinces were still called like that and they refer to the three godesses and ordon so the theory isn't false by that detail.

I think Midna's Helmet is Ordona's Vessel of Light. If anyone feels like it, can you start a new file and go up to when Lanaryu tells you about all that stuff. it shows all four vessels, so please check if Midna's Helmet is one of those vessels. I would, but I wanna finish TP first. (Still haven't, I'm taking it real slowly. I'm at the Twilight Realm)

Commodore Axilon

Midna's helmet is the fourth Fused Shadow, not Vessel of Light.

Mysterious F.

Okay, first i was told Vessel, now Fused Shadows, I'm confused!  :-X

Commodore Axilon

The Vessels of Light are the things used to contain the Tears of Light, so that Light could return to whatever area was being affected by the Twilight. The Fused Shadows, on the other hand, are the things you collect after you defeat the first three bosses.

Ok! When you meet Ordona he tells you what happened and go to see Faron. So their isn't four vessel of light.

And when Midna uses the the Fused Shadow, with her Helmet, it looks like a mask so her Helmet is the fourth Fused Shadow.

EDIT: LoL... You posted before me... xD

Maybe it's OrDONA the Godess of Time!

DW

I don't know, the other Goddeses have their full names in the provinces...It could be the mighty Don though.

Don. ::)How intimidating.

Don is such a cool name though.  I always liked it.  But anyways, maybe all the Godesses fuse together to form DON.  Din, FarOre, Nayru!

Like the Captain Planet of Hyrulean deities? Awesome.

Order, in French, can be "ordonne". In Italian, it's "ordine", and so on through Romantic languages, I would assume. Ordona definitely has at least linguistic ties to the word "order".

I think Ordona was just a deity specific to the area. A spirit connotes a weaker supernatural deity then a goddess does, so I don't think Ordona is on the level of the Golden Goddesses. The four spirits obey the Golden Goddesses by protecting the various areas. The ones with specific name ties to a certain goddess were made by them. Nayru makes a snake, which can be associated with wisdom, Din makes a hawk, which makes sense, and Farore a monkey (which is really more of a wisdom symbol, but okay...). The fourth, Ordona, is created by all three, because it has to watch over the most human province in Hyrule, and let's face it, humans got the short end of the stick when they were tossing out abilities.

I also had the thought that Ordona, and other lesser spirits (the frog gods from Wind Waker come to mind, but don't work with this example) were added to the main Hylian religion as Hylians took over more land and people. Ordona is written into whatever religious texts as a helpful spirit who obeys the Goddesses, like the other three spirits, and everybody's happy.

lol XD So very true. I think Miyamoto-san just likes the romantic aspect of storytelling: a villian appears and captures a princess; a hero appears; hero saves princess and kills villian. And because he wasn't really trying to make them all fit together in a timeline, he didn't bother changing the characters.
