I believe both theories could happen, but I have a problem with the split because I believe that if you take something out of history, that future history will not exist.  But enough of science! let's get back to topic.  I just played the dreaded WW. When I was in the Temple of Time, I saw a picture of Ganon, in beast form from OoT, and what looked to me like the Sacred Realm.  If that was true, then Ganon had to have enter the Sacred Realm, meaning that WW would be in Hyrule B?  I'm not quite sure what the split idea is, but this might be some evidence for it.  Btw, there was a post a while ago signed under me.  That was not me.  My brother is trying to get into Zelda.  He is trying to get into it so sometimes "Knil" might say weird posts.  So ignore that one and I help him from now on.

Not necessarily. The young timeline doesn't overwrite the adult timeline. It's a new timeline that exists next to the other. Kinda like DBZ. It could be that in OOT, there is no split until someone or something with enough power creates it (ergo, why there wasn't a split until Link was sent back by Zelda). It is possible, but a little complicated and there's no point in the timeline that allows for a split without any heavy consequences.

Split timeline theorists tend to assume TWW comes after the adult timeline (Link is gone so he can't help them anymore).

Ok then what comes after the ending of OoT where Link was sent back then? I thought for a while it was TP but not anymore so what do you think?

Hmm I would say MM is right after the OoT where Link was sent back as a kid. And the reason I think TP is not in the timeline with WW anymore is one scene from TP. The scene shows the sages executing and sealing up Ganondorf. That got me thinking as that is probably how Ganondorf was sealed after young Link and Zelda informed the king about him at the end of OoT.
