I don't see why everyone's making such a big deal out of this. Kids draw things all the time. I don't think it means anything.

But like I said: I think it's Godzilla. ;D

TP Zelda

Lol :D I think it's Ganon. Because, remember? At the end of the game, and final form of Ganon, he looks like a dragon kinda.  :)

Commodore Axilon

Ganon looks like a reptilian pig-man. The drawing on the tree looks more like a dinosaur/Godzilla thing.

DW

It's an outline for a new movie they plan.

Godzilla vs. tight-wearing fairyboy.

Hi no Seijin

 :P

Getting serious, when or if Link drew it, he most likely wasn't thinking Ganon.  Prophetically, it probably is Ganon, but I highly doubt it was meant to represent Ganon.

Link couldn't have drawn a picture of Ganon, because he had never seen him before. He'd seen Ganondorf in his dreams, but not Ganon. He was just imagining fighting a big monster, and drew a picture of it. It's supposed to forshadow Link's future as a hero, but it's not meant to depict him fighting Ganon specifically.

And Ganon does not look like a dinosaur, nor a dragon. At all. Go play the game again. He looks nothing like Godzilla. Goodness.

DW

yes, foreshadowing is never specific, that would be boring, no? Just like the Revolutionary War was predicted, though I can't remember by who, but he didn't know who would fight or any specifics.

Hi no Seijin

Um, Evahn, I believe CA was saying that the creature in the sketching look like Godzilla.

Oh, I know, I'm saying Ganon doesn't look like Godzilla, but that the drawing does.

What? Ganon looks nothing like that drawing. What are you talking about? It's just monster, not Ganon specifically.

I was merely saying that IF we look away from the Dragonish appearance of the creature, it's more like Ganon than the other creatures you encounter in that spesific game. He's on two feet, and has "hands" not paws. More clawlike hands than just hands as well.

Perhaps it has something to do with his nightmares? Or something else. I didn't say he looked like Ganon, just that Ganon acts the same way that the creature in the drawing acts like.
But then again it seems weird that he holds the shield with the kokiri emerald symbol on it. So actually I dont know. I just mentioned a possobility, though it is a bit thin.

It might just be an easter egg, and nothing more. Nothing to be cracked, nothing special, just a nice easter eggy carving.

I say Link was a little kid once.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but... little kids draw on walls and stuff, especially when they don't have any friends.

If you remember, Mido and the other kokiri, save for Saria, used to pick on him and not let him play games with them. (Well, in game, it may not be EXACTLY like that, but...) And thus, with no one to play with, he decided to let his imagination run wild on a tree trunk.

I'm not saying the image couldn't be prophetic, either. It very well could be. But I seriously doubt Link said "Hm, maybe I will fight a gigantic monster!"

I think the faerie was put in there because he really wanted to be a Kokiri, and they all had faeries. The Kokiri/Deku shield? He wanted to prove he was worth something by drawing himself as a hero, vanquishing a gigantic monster that threatened them or something.

It really could be anything, though.

Hi no Seijin

Yeah.  Link could've drew me fighting Godzilla. :P

Awesome Fishalicious! Brilliant point!

Though I want it to be him dreaming he's fighting something and then drew it down, as a sign of his courage. I just want to stay with my happy-thought a bit longer. Please dont steal my happy away?  :)

I think it reflecs Godzilla. After all most of thos movies were made in Japan, just like TLOZ.

It was a dark and stormy night, and all the Japaneas kids were snug in thier beds when suddenly Godzilla rose out of Tokyo Bay once more and began terorizing Tokyo. He stode across the city wreaking houses, buisnesses and sushi bars. Then a white kid with poiunted ears and a real obsession with green clothes began to do battle with Godzilla. Will Link prevail, or will Godzilla destroy him?
Tune in next week right after cooking with Anju. ;D ;D ;D
