Well, you could always use the Great Fairy's Mask to determine which rooms the fairies are in, and then search thoroughly.

That, or you could use a walkthrough... I went mad and snapped twice before I found the sixth fairy in the first temple....

I dont like the fairys... though I managed to get them all eventually... with a little professional help...

lol yeah,i went on the file my bro started coz he's on ganon's castle and i was exploring when i got into ganon's room. he was like gimme the triforce! and i was like get lost! and he drained all me power and stupid navi was like link,i cannot help you! and i was get lost then!etc.
