The scariest feeling is not being able to breath

Today, I went to school like every other day. I was in my second period class,(which is Biology) and I was doing my assignment when I got a chest pain. You see, this happens maybe every few months. I feel like if my chest expands, I'll impode, so yeah it sucks. I pound on my chest, and burp, and it goes away, not to be seen again. Not so much this time.

The pain didnt stop, and I couldnt breath. I asked my teacher Mr.Pitts if I could go to the school nurse. He said "hurry" and I jogged down to the nurse's office. I called my mom, and sputtered out "I cant breath!" She said she would be there, and the nurse called me back. Suddenly, the internal assult ended, and I was really shaken by it. The nurse checked my vital signs, and took my pulse. She checked my blood pressure, and took some notes.

When my mom got there, she took me to the ER at Med-Clinic Hospital, and I spent about two hours in the waiting room. They called me in, and took my weight, asked me questions, and checked my Vitals again. They sent me to the waiting room again, and said that a Radiologist would take me in for ex-rays, because I have this misplaced bone that sticks out of my chest.

The Nurse took me to the Ex-Ray room, and they had me put my chest on this cold metal plate, where they took pictures. I was send to a room with a bed and a TV where I would wait. They had me put on this type of gouwn, or however you spell it. The nurse came in, and put there little sticky thingies all over my body, and hooked up some plugs to them. I was a little nervous, but it wasnt bad. I took them off, and waited for my test results. A lady came in, and had my mom fill out some paper work, and left not to be seen for another half hour.

They came back in, and told me I have to have an endocopy.
Like the picture shows, they're going to stick a little hose down my throat and into my stomach to make sure everything is okay. Im pretty freaked out by it, because I dont like having anything lodged in my throat, or shoved into my stomach, if you know what I mean. Of course you do, im sure you would be freaked too. I keep telling my mom that they're not gonna make me! :D On the downside I cant have any pop, or anything too spicy, which pretty much scraps all of my favorite foods. But I really dont give a rats crap about what the nurse says. I've lived like this for 15 years, I'll be absolutely fine. You can probably tell already, but Im going to be one of those 90 year old men who refuses to go to a retirement home, and evades all attempts to get me there. :P

When I had to have my wisdom teeth taken out, I couldn't  eat ANYTHING after midnight the night before. Heh, I didn't eat anything for over 24 hours, and after I got home, I ate only a little bit of soup. So not eating spicy food or drinking pop is nothing by comparision.

This could be serious, and it might be even so that you'll need minor surgery for this.

Even I have pain in my chest (I have a bit right now), for some reason which I cannot fathom.

Anyway, it would be best if you followed doctor's orders to the letter, if you do anything against that, that will prevent accurate test results, and we won't know what's really wrong... Meaning your life could be cut short.

Worst thing I've got is asthma.  It's not severe but if I let it, it can.

I have had two attacks in the middle of the night where I couldn't breath, but I haven't had one forever...they happened like a month apart last year...but we think maybe my room was moldy becasue I have allergies and we lived in an old apartment. so yeah.

Sometime's I have a cough, but they go away after, like, three seconds.

What's an endocopy? We haven't reached biology yet, so...

You should take this more seriously. Besides, I might be glad to be in your situation, I drink only water and lemonade, (because it's so sweet!) and I hate really spicy food, so my food life might not be affeted at all.

it is because of the spicy food you have it right? So shouldn't that convince you not to eat it?

I haven't taken biology, I just know about it from family problems...

You cant live your life without risks man! Risks are what make life interesting. And I dont care if i die. I've come to good terms with death. I cant wait to soar through the clouds with my best friends, and my good lord. That will be the happiest day after my life :)

Say what? You mean to say that some of your best friends are deceased?

Eh, I'm pretty fatalistic. I don't really care if I would die, in fact I would be happier (in the ironic sort of way) dead than alive. Heheh, Maybe I shouldn't be saying this...

I don't care about heaven or hell or purgatory. In fact, if it so suited for a god to send me there, it wouldn't matter anyway.

I know that this has probably been said before in this topic like 100 times, but I just feel the need to say it again.

You may have a serious problem, ZV, and unless you want to live less time on Earth, you really should go to the doctor and get it checked out.

I'm glad you're okay and all, but if you dont go to your doctor to get checked, I'll drive down to Texas, bag you and force you to get checked. :P

But I'm glad you're all right. Just watch what you eat, and everything will be fine...
