Will it ever end?

Do you guys think that the legend of zelda would come to an end any time soon? I don't think it will, but I don't know.

But how much farther could they go with MK though? Plus MK wasn't nearly as big as Zelda. Per game, Zelda is Ninty's top seller.

They might end it with PH, but that would be the stupidist choice they could ever make. Although, in my 1st playthrough of Twilight, I was thinking, if this was the Zelda finle, this would be the best possible way. But supposedly, another zelda is already being made. Yay!

Nintendo doesn't make MK. Thats why (try as I might) I could never find an MK game for GC and had to get it for Xbox.
Anyway I'm sure eventully they will stop making Zelda games. But not for at least 3.7 billion years. It would be nice to have Ganon finally die though.

1. MK isn't developed or published or distributed by Nintendo.
2. The MK franchise did NOT end. I don't know what the next game will be like, considering they did announce some serious changes. They announced that the next MK will be completely different qua gameplay and characters. On the other hand, they also stated that a MK without Scorpion is not a MK.

My guesses is that the new gameplay will work, but that people will demand for the old characters. Especially because I can't say any of the D and A new characters were of the same quality as the characters created before those two games.

It depends. From what I've heard, they have a set timeline, and recently they've been trying to uncover the timeline a bit more with the games. Maybe when they finish said timeline, it'll end.

I have to agree, though, I want Ganondorf to be dead. xD He's persistant.

No, I'm pretty sure MK is done. Armaggedon was their finale, with every character ever.

Zelda will be done when Death Mountain freezes over.

Nah, zelda would never end. As you've all probably heard many times over, if Nintendo decided to stop creating one of its key franchises, well, that'd be pretty foolish, wouldn't it?

As long as Zelda games keep selling then they will keep making Zelda games it is simple economics. Nintendo is still making Mario games, they are still making Donkey Kong games, they are still making Metroid games, and I wish they still made Kid Icarus games. But the point is Zelda games sell and as long as they sell, Nintendo will keep making them. If they start to fail then there will be no more Zelda but I do not see that happening anytime soon.

Since you mentioned Kid Icarus, that's a game I'd like to see revived...

anyways, as long as Miyamoto is alive they will keep coming, hopefully even after his death.
