Does Zelda need a "Reboot"?

Of course I meant that as a joke, Zelda would collapse if that were a game! I can't believe no one else caught that.

I don't even want to try to think of how to reboot the storyline in terms of enemies and such. I prefer things like geography. In fact, I would like to see a place that is similar to a medieval Japanese or Chinese city in the series, because, and you all know it, China and Japan rock!

Mabye an Incan style village would be nice, too.

Hmm, does anybody remember the game Illusions of Gaia? It was the only one of its series that was translated into English, its precursors being Soul Blazer and Terranigma. The Incan-style village idea you mentioned reminds me of that game. It had a lot of that kind of stuff.

That would be pretty awesome in a Zelda game, actually. It's almost like it's hinted at, though, through the different races. Sort of used as an inspiration and then twisted over into something else, like the Rito.

Actually, Soul Blazer was released in AMerica, but Terranigma wasn't. But Terranigma WAS released in English, just only in PAL regions.

Whoa, I didn't know that! I played them both as roms, in English, but I thought they were fan-only translations.

Thanks!

I wish they would have more houses like the Gerudo mesas.

Or mabye a Northwest Coast Native American village.

An Australian Outback style plain would also be nice.

Seriously, they still have several wonderful town/geography ideas they could us, but ignore them.

Mabey some sort of frozen wastland area (I'm sick of deserts), or a rainforest.

Mysterious F.

Frozen Wasteland - Mountains in TP, MM; Goron Mountain in Seasons. (They're at least close enough)
Rainforest is a very good idea, although the MM swamps are like rainforests.

Fairy penguin

I guess, but not good enough to pass as a rainforest. Also, it would probably get taken out out, in favor of a simpler place. Remember the big forest places in TP that we never saw, and the closes thing being the lost woods place? Also, there was a real "lost woods" for OoT, but it ot removed as well. Stupid Nintendo.

Not really. Compare the tarain of Luisiana to the terain of Brazil.

Swamps, Heat, and Tropical Trees.

Swamps, Heat, and Swampy Stlye Trees.

They're very similar, but I think they just didn't have enough time to make rainforest trees for MM do to their PURPOSELY MADE two year limit. I was always assuming it's a rainforest considering the Deku's resemblance to South American Native people, monkeys, and they dungeon style.

IronKnuckle

I read somewhere that the Dekus were inspired by the USSR.

Mysterious F.

That is just weird!  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o

IronKnuckle

It doesn't make sense to me either. The Deku Palace's theme music is Russian sounding but outherwise I have no clue what they mean.

Fishalicious

I think they're based off a creature I mentioned in some thread thousands of weeks ago. :3 Bakru, I think they're called. Wooden puppet-things with enlarged heads and the size of a child. Magical.

Anyways, I would really enjoy a cave-system of houses, with stalactites and stalagmites, sort of like those cav-houses in Australia I saw on some Discovery show.

Incan designed houses would be fun, too.
