Well in some High Schools they do Home economics and technical work like buliding with wood and things ,well at my high school we do H.E and techy (home economics and techincal work) ,so when you were at high school or if you are at high school do you or did you do home economics and techincal work???

MasterKeyX

So random.... but I'll reply anyway.

My High School is specialy designed for engineering and science. So I wont be taking home ec or any type of stuff like that. I will, however, be taking Architectural Drawing and several computer classes.

My middle school did that.  But you're not specifically assigned anything career based at my school.  They're optional classes.  I'm taking (and am currently president of) the Junior level Programming and Computer Simulations class.

The school I go to is terrible and SO poor. We only have required classes AND they just cut a whole bunch of sports. The only sports they offer now are Track and basketball. Yeah, It's super boring around here....

No, we didn't have those, but I wish we did. A good home economics class and a basic household mechanical/building class is good for both boys and girls to have under their belts. I think if people knew how to do all the things that were required of people way back when, we wouldn't rely so heavily on overpriced storebought stuff! Just my opinion, anyhow.

We have Culinary Arts classes and metal shop... just because an abandoned garage is like... half a block away. Also, I think it's because we have a LOT of abandoned classrooms. (half of the school is new and remodeled, the other half is crappy and ancient. /: (Most of my classes are in the crappy half, but I don't mind. (Except the bathrooms. They're middle-school bathrooms, and thus, very short.))

Cooking, Textile and resistant materials are all compulsory at my school for the first three years.
But then again EVERYTHING at my school is compulsory for the first three years, except Business Studies, Chinese, and Statistics which you startt at GCSE.

You guys go to awesome schools. I wish I'd gone to a good one. It makes highschool almost sound like fun! Such diversity of classes.
Instead I spent my highschool years sneaking into buildings after-hours, finding secret doorways, and roaming around on the roof. D:

...Every time I look at this topic's title, I think of waaaay the wrong subject.

Dude, I love climbing on roofs. xD And yeah, I thought of the wrong thing too. x;

Hi no Seijin

Well, make that three of us who thought of something else. ;)

Anywho, I think my high school offered those classes.  I don't know.  I never took them.  Although, I did take this one computer skills and applications course.  Which is the reason why I do that whole typing without looking at the keyboard deal now.  Man, that seemed so hard back in elementary school.  Even Mario couldn't help me.

Haha Four.

And you are all lucky we don't get to choose which subjects we take until after the first three years. So many useless subjects I wasted my time on.

...........I plead the fifth......poster who thought of this.

Are you referring to Mario Teaches Typing? If so, Type to Learn was SO much better. I pretty much mastered typing by the end of the year because of that program. Or maybe it was the year afterward. Either way, I liked Type to Learn the best. :D

If the above answer was no, then I'm sorry for ranting. :P
