Should Youtube be shut down?

Has anyone really taken the time to read Youtube's Terms of Use? Some of what they say is pretty ridiculous. Though a lot of it is a bit confusing and little more than legal jargon, it boils down to 'all things of 'copyrighted' material will be deleted, user discretion, blahblahblah, etc, etc...'

Mysterious F.

Okay, be honest, will the average person take the time and read it?  8)

Gamefreak

Probably not.  But, that's the way people are.

Fishalicious

I say yes. I mean, yes, it's important to a lot of people, their rules are just ridiculous, though.

Mysterious F.

I say yes unless they get another owner than Google. If anyone else noticed, all of the bad things began when Google bought Youtube.

Fishalicious

They're probably just afraid of being sued.

...But who would sue Google, seriously?

Mysterious F.

Actually, I doubt anyone would try.

MasterKeyX

I find youtube to be a very valuable source of entertainment gfor us. It should not be shut down.

Having  bad rules is NOT ANY reason to shut down any site. Thats like shutting down a water park for not allowing you to bring caned drinks.

Mysterious F.

Well, the rules there are out of control. And let me give you a theme park example for you, Vash. In California, a theme park is so heavy on rules they have one that forbids you from screaming on the roller coasters.  ::)

Zoratunic

I say no, mainly becuase I love the site, if not the rules. I will not give up a good site just becuase it has bad rules.

DelicateMaiden

I think it needs to be fixed, with its terms, but its a good place for people who want to just post theirselves singing and whatnot.  ;D

Mysterious F.

As said earlier, this is not Youtube's fault, blame Google, the owners. Despite how they know no one will ever sue them, they insist on making millions of rules that interfere with the viewer's enjoyments. If they had different owner, however, that is different.

MasterKeyX

Actually, my statement was meant to be ironic, but I still dont think it should be shut down.

I wish instead JQ put new (aka better) owners choice, that would have been better than downright delete.
