How would YOU describe Link?

Link is basically left out in the open for personality. Because he rarely ever speaks or talks on his own (the only exception being him saying "Come on!" in TWW), we know very little about him besides what we make him say and what other characters would say. The only real information we have about Link is, according to Nintendo, he is "humble but brave". So tell us, what do YOU think Link is like?

Well, I can actual imagine Link being very stubborn, quite imaginable if you have seen how he and Mido act in the manga. He's also quite lazy and unmotivated alot of the times, and he's a heavy sleeper.

Commodore Axilon

You're treating all the Links as if they'd be carbon copies of one another, and I very much doubt that. I'm sure each Link would have his own separate personality. What they are, I really couldn't care less. I just thought I'd point that out.

Bboy94

OoT Link I would say a determined hero, if sleepy at the beggining.

WW Link I think sleepy, nervous and unnerved at having to leave his life as it was.

TP Link, more a goofball, sarcastic, yet determined and vengeful.

LttP Link, fierce, hungry, goofball, determined, and adventrous.

MM Link, caring, experienced, knows what it takes.

LA Link, fierce, hungry, goofball, determined, experienced, caring.

OoS/OoA, caring, determined, I can't tell much about him.

MatthewThief

I always pictured OoT Link acting like he does in the manga.. BEFORE i even knew there was a manga!

So basically a lazy person with a quick temper, humble but brave, and he doesn't like to lose. Yep. That's him in the manga.

Fishalicious

Well, everyone always seems to make him hungry. In the manga, in the show, in the CD-i games... I mean, really, what?

Anyways, in OOT, I imagined him to be sort of stubborn, childish, kind of dumb, a bad fisherman, and sort of lazy. (isn't that a bad thing, being the Hero of Time? Oh well, I'd be lazy too)

In MM, he seems to have lost most of his immaturity and is a bit more serious.

In tWW, he's awesome. Lazy, stubborn, sleepy, and grumpy... XD

TP, more serious, relaxed, okay with his heroic role, etc.

OOT/MM's manga Link does fit my idea of him, though.

Red Link, Blue Link, Green Link, and Vio are perfect matches in the manga; I always thought they acted like that, colours matching and stuff. (I don't see why a lot of people get the idea that Red is mean... XD)

Dark Link strikes me as the malicious type; angry because his light side gets all the attention. (Dark Link's just honest, is all; everyone has their secrets, Dark Link lays them out in the open while Link hides his.)

Shadow Link seems like the attention crazy type. "Look at me!"

MatthewThief

i didnt think that Link was lazy in the OoT manga  :-\

Fishalicious

He seems sort of lazy in the manga... mostly in the bonus story with the Prince of the bird people. XD; Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. :-\

MatthewThief

maybe the fishing part..? he just seemed overly nice to me in that one

Vaati

Hmm, I don't really know what I think he'd be like. I guess it goes like this:
OoT-Kind of lazy, just wants to save Hyrule and get it over with.
WW-At first just wants to get Aryll, doesn't really care about saving Hyrule, then he does later.
MC-Determined to save Zelda no matter what.

Mysterious F.

I also think that Link is, sometimes, unreliable (although TP is a very large exception) and that people wish that he would be a wee bit stronger.

MatthewThief

i dont.. i like him a bit on the weak side  ;D

DW

I don't see why everybody thinks he's lazy in OoT. Is it because he was asleep at the beginning? Amazing. He needs to sleep. What a lazy guy! It's not like he just dozes off while you're playing or anything.

The OOT manga largely portrayes him as lazy, that could have something to do with it. And everyone else was wide awake at that time, and he was still going night-night.

Vaati

Besides, it's simple phycology. When you see Link sleepin, that's your first impression of him.
Though, in a lot of the games, Link is sleeping in the beginning, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, Minish Cap...
