The crackle of the fire is only thing that filled the otherwise unnatural silence in the dark area. Everything was so quiet... You could hear the dead leaves falling miles away... Dogura sat huddled close to the fire... Everyone who could have made it out alive, was sitting in this secluded cave alongside their fellow survivors. He had finally done it. The great Ganondorf Dragmire, King of Evil, had finally succeeded. Everything was in ruin. It was unknown how he had rivaled the Goddesses, and had destroyed them in a one on three fight. Everything was pitch black, monsters run amok. Everything was destroyed.

Dogura looked out of the small crevice in the cave wall, only to catch site of the dark moon that had only recently risen. No doubt one of Ganondorf's ways to spread the darkness. A black moon had blocked out the natural moon, leaving an eerie glow around it's edges.  A tear rolled down the samurai's cheek. Darkin... ShadowClaw... Norog... Hyrule... All he had come to know had been destroyed. A small smile broke his tears, before his pain and anguish took over again. At least he wasn't the only survivor. The few who had managed to escape with the Vagabond sat around the, now dimming, campfire. Digging into a silk pouch, Dogura tossed the last of a special powder into the dimming flame. It erupted in a brilliant show of fire, and it resumed its fiery ways. Dogura recalled the incident as if in a cruel faded memory...

QuotePeople... Crowded streets... At the moment, he was on his way to New PeakTop... When suddenly. It hit. An explosion of proportions not even he had ever seen blew North Castle to shreds. Even in the distance, Dogura could hear the people screaming. Like ants, they flooded the castle, only to be swept away by the sea of fire that had already engulfed the castle. The samurai's eyes wandered left and right, as he tried to make sense of the spectacle before him. Suddenly, another explosion engulfed half of North Forest just beneath the samurai. "Oh... Goddesses..." Dogura muttered, as he watched an easily recognizable, yet unbelievable form rise into the air.

Ganondorf Dragmire.

Dogura quivered. After all he had read in the history books, he still wasn't prepared for the man's might. Somehow, he had risen back into a power. However, the Master Sword's wear abouts were currently unknown, to the public at least. Even from the side of his malicious grin, Dogura knew the next target. Tantari Desert was so clearly unprepared for the misfortune that was about to befall it, and its few residents. In another equally quaking explosion, Tantari was blown to smithereens. After the sand and dust had cleared, it was now a shiny surface, which reflected the darkening sky.

Dogura could remember no more. It seemed that Ganondorf's followers were now reeking their rewards, after all the hardship they had been through. Dogura's fingers ran over the hard surface of the cave wall, as another long tear made it's way down his face. The Triforce... No doubt he's obtained it already. He thought, looking again through the crevice. Horrid unimaginable beasts tore through the land. They were repulsive, only a few recognizable Redeads and Ghinis. This didn't take away from how much Dogura despised them. There were dark moments of this torment that Dogura pondered suicide... or even surrender, and treason. But with the Goddesses out of action... Where would he go when he died? He already knew the answer... he would walk among the many monsters that pulled themselves across Dark Hyrule... All seemed lost...

"Shadowclaw," muttered a teenage boy who was propped up against a wall. Blood covered his face, and chest. The major wound was on his chest, and he had some pretty bad scratches on his face. However, he should survive, it he got care. His life might not even be effected by these wounds that seemed so horrible.

"It's me, Simon," he continued, trying to smile. The pain was to much, and the smile was barely noticeable. "Orph and Matt are  searching for survivors. So far, Orph, Matt, Bret, Bob, you, and I are the only people that are definately left from my old life. I am not even sure if Bou made it though Ganadorf's dark clutches. However, I doubt Ganadorf would kill him, he would probably hypnotize him into joining his dark elite. Orpheous was crying that there was probably nobody left. He saw Silna get carried away for interrogation to find camps of survivors." The dim light casted a shadow over his face.

Dogura's fingers didn't seize to caress the cave wall. It seemed to calm him almost. A voice among the people gathered in the cave broke the silence. Dogura turned around, and gulped. The man's wounds looked almost fatal. The samurai stopped to think. "If they left this spot... or weren't here to begin with... I wouldn't count on them coming back." Dogura's negativity at this point would wear on one's nerves. However, anyone who had seen the outside world at the moment, would find it hard to disagree with him.

"Do we have any mages in here?" Dogura called out among the group. It was dark. Too dark to see anything. A small Rito child sat by the fire, but two feathered arms pulled him closer to his mother. A small Goron approached Dogura, and tugged on his sleeve. Even sitting down, the samurai was a bit bigger than the Goron. Dogura looked down at the saddened face of the child. "H-Have you seen my mommy?" He asked, looking as if ready to cry. The last thing Dogura wanted was for a kid to start crying.

Thinking quickly, the best thing he could come up with was,
"I don't know kid..." The child buried his face in Dogura's arm, and was doing well to fight back the tears. Dogura respected this, and offered him his arms. The Goron had a tight hug, but not tight enough to keep Dogura's voice behind bars. "Are there any mages in here? We need a medical spell, this man is hurt." Silence befell the room.

"Aye." Said a voice from the corner. A large figure rose and limped into the firelight, his left leg hanging limply and his feet bare. His shoes had fallen apart at the seems on his run back. The harsh wind whistled through the holes in his tattered coat and tophat, and his greasy black hair had been singed in many places, revealing his defeated and dimmed green eyes and nearly toothless mouth as he grated out words.

"I'm a cleric." He struggled to say, desperate for water. He grasped a short, splintered stick that was barely recognizable as a staff. He turned to Simon and raised the stick, wincing. His arm was badly burned; he had nearly been caught in an explosion, and a massive wave of heat had rushed out from it. "Nayru." He began, grunting. "Please bestow your love and grace upon this injured man." He pleaded, waving the staff towards Simon.

It appeared that Nayru didn't have much power left to give, as nothing happened at first. Burlo sighed and strained his magical reserve, feeling the power drained from him as sparks traveled down the wood and jumped to Simon's wounds, beginning to heal him immediately. Once his work was done, he turned to Dogura, a solemn look plastered on his face. "What...what do we do now?"

"Thank you, kind Cleric," stated Simon. He tried to act like he was better if not all the way cured. The unnoticeable truth was that he had only been given a few more days. He had roughly a week before he would reach critical condition, and from there, it would take a miracle to save him. If he didn't get that miracle than he would be dead three days after reaching critical condition. He rested his head against the wall. What a horrible day it was. The negativity that everyone was expressing didn't help. Why couldn't people be more optimistic, a hero had always risen up to save them, why not now. However, the hero would have already came if he was going to come at all. No, the people needed to become the hero. Simon could tell there were people there who were trained for combat. An underground resistance must be formed if they ever hoped of stopping Ganadorf.

Suddenly, a female walked up to the group. She knelt down besides Simon, as if she knew him, because she did. She was barely recognizable. Her face was spread with expressions of sorrow, it even appeared as if she was growing old. Her usually sandy brown hair was unkempt, and not in it's usual ponytail. Her tattered clothes dripping in blood, even though there were no visible wounds. Dirt and blood covered pretty much all of her visible skin. Spots were she wiped it off were visible around her eyes, and around her mouth.

She spoke to him, "Simon, oh my Goddesses(even though she doesn't believe in them, she has grown accustom to Hyrule sayings), what happened to you?" Her voice was raspy, as she had done a lot of shouting, barking commands for help. She had undoubtedly been going outside to search for survivors.

He answered with a fake smile, and a sarcastic tone, "I fell down some stairs," he joked, "and it felt good. "But really, I was mauled by some Iron Knuckles, but luckily Matt saved me at brought me back here. You have no clue knowing how glad I am that another person has survived, Bingo."

"Have you seen Bou?" she asked.

"I know how much he means to you, but I can't lie right now, I haven't seen him," he answered with a frown. "Orpheous, Matt, and Bret are out looking for survivors as well. I believe I saw Bob somewhere around this cave."

Even though she was a highly trained mage, she could do no better than Burlo because she had used up all her magic on the other critical patients.

Dogura watched as a familiar face appeared by light of the fire. "You!" Dogura nearly shouted, taking a step back. The samurai had recalled seeing him with Saber. This man is a complete alcoholic, he could never help! He'll probably make things worse. Dogura was about to say something, when he realized that this man was sober. Still a bit worried, Dogura watched as he healed Simon to a commendable degree. "Not bad..."

Dogura muttered, looking over the wound. The man's lips were chapped and dry, and he looked just awful. "As thanks, take a drink of this." Dogura handed Burlo a canteen, which felt just over half full. Unscrewing the lid, someone appeared by the fire. It was a Zora woman. "Hey! We're thirsty too!" A large Goron appeared beside her. "Yeah! What makes him so special?" Dogura saw the error in his ways, but it was a bit too late. Three Hylians, warriors by the looks of their armor, also could be seen in the dim light. The fire was beginning to go out again. "Give us water too." The samurai nervously fumbled with the cap, and screwed it back on.

"Okay, nobody is getting water, we're all even!" The Goron walked up, and stared into Dogura's eyes suspiciously. "How do we know you won't take a driiink?" The ranger looked at the canteen, and then put a hand on his heart. "I solemnly swear. Now lets all calm down." The Goron turned his rough hide, and left, still a bit skeptical of the samurai. Dogura looked back out of the crevice. This could go on forever... we've got to start planning an escape, and we've got to start planning one now...

Burlo sighed in relief as his magic did it's job. He eased his acheing body into a more comfortable sitting position, and looked out the mouth of the cave, forlorn. He watched the monsters roaming the barren plains, too stupid to explore the crevices in the cliff walls. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes. "If only Tammo were here..." He said wistfully. If he had any tears left, one would have been shed in memory of the lad.

At the entrance, another figure entered, and he was easily recognized as Sabertache. He deposited a pitiful armful of herbs and plants before Dogura, wiping his hair aside. He was the only one relatively unhurt, with only a few minor scrapes. He had been by the cliff in the first place, and had taken shelter as the unstoppable assault devestated Hyrule. He looked glumly at the samurai. "Dogura...this was all I could find in the way of food. I checked a half mile out." He shook his head and looked towards Burlo--In this tragic time, he held no more resentment for the drunk. "I've yet to find an unspoiled water source. If it gets much worse, we'll just have to drink the dirty water."

He surveyed the group quickly--The numbers had increased slightly since he had left. They just may have a chance...

The ranger snapped to attention. Saber had left a while ago in search of anything edible, and Dogura had completely forgotten. "Ahh Saber!" Dogura said in a quivering voice. He was obviously mentally disturbed by the issues at hand. Dogura was one to think things through, and make logical sense of everything. But this... This was all so unbelievable. Within mere hours, Ganondorf had enslaved most of Hyrule. The samurai stared at the food beneath him. He hadn't eaten in a long while, yet hunger hadn't set in yet. Dogura nodded to Saber. "You've done well Saber. How was it out there? Did you have to engage in combat? None the less, you deserve a rest."

The samurai moved to the entrance of the cave, and peered outside. The sky was a terrible grayish brown. Thunder and lighting teamed to create a horrible storm... yet it did not rain. Dogura now knew that Ganondorf was taking no precautions. If there were survivors, there would be no water for them. The environment was Dragmire's now, even nature was bending to his evil will. The entrance was small, but big enough to duck under. Dogura sat in the entrance, and watched the sky light up again and again. "What have we done to deserve this..." Dogura asked aloud. Then, he felt silly for talking to himself. Prayer was no longer a factor. There was no one to pray to now, other than Ganondorf; and that was not an option.

Lightning shot across the large Hyrulian sky... In the light that was provided, many keese, and larger winged creatures could be seen soaring through the sky. Under Ganondorf's storm, they wouldn't be struck. The monsters were probably looking for any survivors. Dogura stood up, and wiped his brow yet again. It was a dry heat, thankfully. Still, the very breeze that carried eerie noises on it, also carried cooler air, that would grace the cave dwellers with it's presence now and again. Still outside, the horrible noises made sure they were heard. The sound of a man screaming in the distance continued to haunt the ears of all listeners. The constant moaning of undead creatures didn't seize even for a solitary second.

Dogura motioned with a hand to the crowd in the cave. There were roughly 25 of them, but they each wanted food as much as the next. A scream erupted through the cave, which made the samurai's hair stand on end. Before he could make the announcement that food had arrived, three men were seen carrying a bleeding Zora.
"I-I'm terribly sorry sir, but... I'm afraid he's killed himself." One of the men stated, the bleeding Zora over his shoulder. Dogura placed a hand over his face, and squeezed. Already, people are being driven mad... I hope Ganondorf is enjoying this... Dogura thought, once again beginning to ponder how Ganondorf had escaped the realm that served as his prison. He managed to do it every time... but how? Dogura motioned to save entrance, and sighed. The men nodded. "I know what has to be done." The man with the Zora said, exiting the cave. Dogura watched through the crevice, as the man made his way a good distance away from the cave, and leaned the Zora up against the trunk of a dead tree.

The man jogged back to the cave, miraculously unscathed. He hadn't been spotted by anyone or anything, as he entered the cave, and leaned against the wall.
"I can't believe I just did that... I feel terrible."  Dogura walked up to the man, and looked him in the eye. "You performed the duty of a man. It was a dead body, and it was only taking up space. You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of." The Hylian man looked away, and sighed. "How long do you think this will keep up?" Dogura looked back into the dark sky. "I don't know... I just don't know..."

"Sa-sa-sa-saber?" asked towards Saber, he was stuttering mainly because of fear, followed by emotional and physical pain. Bingo, who was looking down at Simon, looked up and cocked her head so Saber was visible. She walked over to him and asked, "Did you see anybody out there?" The word anybody was being used in the context of people he(Saber) or she(Bingo) knew.

However, the question wasn't going to be answered immediately. A bloody zora was being carried in by three men. There was no way she could have saved him.  A man later took him outside, and left him there. Dogura comforted him by telling him that he did the right thing, and Bingo decided to do the same. "It is ok, Dogura is right, he would've just been taking up space. However, I am not saying that feeling guilty is bad, because you just delivered a
zora to his death bead. I guess I am trying to say that it was the right thing to do, but you still have every right to mourn." As she finished she began to see images in her mind of people she knew either being murdered by Ganadorf's minions or being brought in my others, and it was clear from the images that the people in them had no hope.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A man ran down a path. Behind him were 4 vampires(you know, the kind like Gomess), and 6 rocs, each of with equiped with two archer bulblins and a rider bulblin. In front of him were a group of people that he was following to safety. An arrow flew at him, and killed him. "Shoot," muttered Bret. Bret hadn't seen anybody he knew alive, other than Simon. However, Simon claimed to have seen others. Bret was leading this squadron of people who were trying to find survivors, and now they just lost another man. The 2 vampires fell behind to eat the man, while the others kept moving forward.

Soon, Bret had lost everybody in the group, and he thought to himself that he was going to die. Suddenly, a creature flew through the air. At first Bret thought it was just another one of Ganon's minions, but as it stabbed a vampire in the chest, he knew that it wasn't. Light seemed to radiate from this humanoid creature. Around his neck he wore a cross, and he had a black pair of wings(2 full scale wings) that looked almost like bird wings. However, he had heard about legends from the ancient days. People believed that there were messengers from the Goddesses. They weren't as important as oracles or the hero, but they were numerous. They called them Galiants. This humanoid couldn't have been a Galiant, for they were only myths, but he had their wings(they look similar to angel wings). In each had he held a sword. The other vampires fleed, and once he killed two rocs and everybody on them with out a scratch, the others ran as well. He landed on the ground, and walked over to Bret. "Hello, I am Remos," he said in his own secret language. Bret heard it as incoherent babbling. Remos gave him a look that he was sorry, and then said it again, in his language once more. But, since Remos was using translation magic, Bret heard it in common language. "Could you please take me to your camp? I know you probably don't trust me, but I need to go there," he pleaded. Bret agreed, and they began to head back.

Sovelis

Sovelis could hear voices as he limped around the corner. His right arm was bloody and he could barely lift it up past his stomach. Luck had kept his mechanical arm from being shatered like it normally would have. I guess that last modification had done the trick. At least I'll still be able to fight with my Automail He thought as he saw who it was that had been talking. Dogura Shadowclaw was the last person Sovelis had expected to see alive. He relized that some of these people were new-faces, but now wasn't the time for introductions. "D-Dogura..." Sovelis muttered, blood dripping from his mouth where he had hit the ground when the city had been attacked. "I didn't know I'd find you here...and Saber as well...I think our chances of survival just went from none to slim...." he said as he tripped and fell on the ground. His dull red cloak was torn and somewhat bloody. Sovelis's Black robes looked damp from their wearer's wounds on his back and arm. "The situation looks bleak in the city. Ganondorf's army is looting and burning anything they can find. They haven't killed anyone unless they looked like they could fight or if they resisted. I think those monsters are gonna eat anyone they find later..." he said as he pulled himself up with his staff. "I was at the Library, looking for some old magic scrolls, when half the damn wall exploded and the bookshelf landed on me and knocked me out. When I came to, all the clerics and scholars in the Library where either dead or gone..." he said as he looked around. "I still have my few spell-scrolls and my weopons, my staff and the Tempest Blade, but I'm not going to go fight an army ten times the size of the city!" he said quietly, although his voice was fearful in its tone. "What are we going to do...Ganondorf has stromed the castle, and its only a matter of time before he gets the Triforce of Wisdom. He already has the Triforce of Power... even Sovel's power is a mere shadow in comparison to that power. We need a plan...Saber, Do you have any Ideas?" the Last Tempest asked him as he looked around to make sure that none of Ganondorf' minions were around.
I am not what you think I am. I am not a hero, I'm just a simple adventurer. I have no true home, and This is where I will stay.

Worru

The laughter came out of nowhere. It was a big and loud laugh, like one made by a madman, one about to delve even deeper in his insanity. For most that heard it, they would think "Ganondorf has come for us.", but, instead, it came from another Gerudo, one that only showed signs of Sheikah blood.

His name is Worru Worruson Gerudo.

Why was the thirteen-year-old laughing? Simple. . .Well, not so simple. He was laughing for some reason, and not even the goddesses know why. Last thing he remembered before coming to this cave, he was simply trying to find his mom, and it was his luck he heard a Gerudo was sighted near the cave. When the explosions started, he just ran into the cave, and hit his head on a rock that was above where he sat. It wasn't much damage, but he was knocked out for some time, waking up just to start laughing, and he still was.

DW

OOC:...Umm, this is an HA2 roleplay. There was no hero in HA2.
