Yes you can, I would know. I had a dream last night when I talked.

I can't stand zombies in dreams... XD They just freak me out to no end.. especially if someone I know gets caught by them. Navi-headed students... Well, it sounds pretty neat.

another freaky dream:
There was a long pier in a gigantic lake, and at the end was someone's house. It was rickety, and really foggy; it was like out of some cheap horror flick, or something. XD I got to the house, and it had a "lawn" made of excess boards added to the pier, and had skulls on the interior wall. Not... OMG SCARY!, just skulls from trophy animals. There was a couple with scratched out faces (very rarely do people have proper faces in my dream) and who looked... dead. They didn't move at all in the dream. They had lots of cats, but there was something the matter with them. When you were outside, they had skin, fur, etc., but inside, they were stripped of everything and were just.. bones. I looked at my own arms, and the skin was dissolving.

I ran out of the house, blood just pooling on my pantlegs from lack of skin. Then, I looked in the water. It cleared, and as some blood dripped into the water, I saw this simply gigantic (blue whale sized) shrimp/walking stick mix slither up to the surface. it's eyes were totally blank, and it was a pale, ghostly colour. it jumped up and broke the pier in two, and then more joined it. I ran and ran and ran... and then the pier ended up snapping in front of me, and I jumped across the gap, and I landed on the edge, crawling up the edge, but I was just too weak. I got eaten. Bummer.

I just want to say... This sounds like... Cthulhu... The Horror out of  Innsmouth. You're a bit obsessed with Fish aren't you?

Fishalicious

Well, not so much obsessed so much as... well, fish are a major part of my life. They do show up in my dreams quite often, though...

I have a recurring dream when I have fever, I'm standing in front of a tower being built, it's like the lighthouse of Alexandria or something.

A recent crazy dream I had was that I was going to Six Flags Magic Mountain for the Halloween stuff, and when I entered it was like Mario Party board (yes with floating dice block and all :-[), and for some reason I wanted to find Epona, it was weird because I felt like we had been friends a long time ago. Then, I was looking at myself like a normal Mario Party interface in a snowy board, and it kept going like that for a while until I arrived to an abandoned stable. And there I met three witches that challenged me to guess who was the wisest, the strongest and the most courageous (I know, the triforce! :o ); after that, well, it was useless to guess anyway. Then I thought that the only way to call Epona was to play her song (by this point I was "inside of me" again), then I appear at my grandma's living room, and I start looking for OoT OST, I find the box, but it's empty. So now I'm all down about how I failed to find Epona, and I exit the park and wake up.

And my most recent dream was a short one, I was at work and my girlfriend and her friends arrive, and when I kissed my girlfriend, she turns out to be my cousin, I was so freaked out that I woke up.

I have no real method to wake up, but when I realize it is a dream and try to interfeer with it, I get the strange sensation of being pulled into reality (pretty wierd).

I had this really wierd one where I was black(I don't mean to sound racist) and I was in a jungle, and I think I was a freedom fighter for someone, and theres a picnick table, and a fire. I'm talking to someone, and then we hear some jeeps coming. We try to hide everything, and I hide under a table. Everyone else is gone, and this guy comes over aiming a gun at me, and tells me theres a bounty on me. I tell him I'm chinese. He laughs at me and I say, "No, really I am. I was born in Zumbawe(or whatever that african country that starts with a "Z" is called) but my family was killed when I was little, but I was adopted by chinese." I think he luaghed after that, and he shot me.

Then there was one where I saw these huge grey people who had no faces and were doing something weird witha fire. I was 5 at the time, and I know some other stuff happened in that dream, but I can't remember them.

MasterKeyX

I can talk in my dreams. Sometimes I hear myself talking but I'm still asleep. Or sometiems I can wake myself up from a messed up dream and sometimes, I tell you, sometimes, I'm reallhy glad I have that ability.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

Then there are the dreams that happen when you're awake! Like this one where it looks like LA and many people are digging like moles, and When I woke up, I saw it when I shut my eyes. I read for a while, but it happened again. I ended up staying awake the entire night.

darkphantomime

THat's called an Hallucination. I've had a few of those before.

Zelda Veteran

Ohhh hallucinations are scary! :-[
They say that when old people are in the hospital on the brink of death, they see things. One of our relatives saw dead family members in the room. And one of them... claims she saw monsters that teased her at night, when the doctors left her room...

I never had any hallucinations, not in my 15 long years of life. I would imagine them to be quite scary, though, considering that for a moment you would think they were real (no matter how scary or creepy they may be). I think my Nana used to have hallucinations about certain religious things...

My friend's mom said that when she was a kid adults told them that if you die in your dream you die for real. I've died plenty of times, though, so I guess that's another traditional rumor proved wrong. My mom said that if you lost your teeth in your dream one of your family members or relatives would die.... crazy Filipinos, lol.

Twilight Wolf

None of the options in the poll fit me. I don't typically have many nightmares... most of them are creepy, but don't typically scare me. I very rarely have one that freaks me out.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

I HAVE heard of people having a dream within a dream. It was my sister who had one once, I believe. She said it was a pretty weird experience.

yeah. I've had those before. I think, I was sleeping, then I woke up in the dream... Yeah.
