Hi no Seijin

Necropost!

But it's a Zelda-related dream, so it's cool.

It was somewhat similar to TWW.  I had the Master Sword, and I was beginning to fight the Helmaroc King at one point, but the setting was all wrong; it was something like a modern setting.  There were some dogs in it, and they could talk.  And getting to Ganon's Fortress (I think that's what it was), I had to cross an old, wooden bridge over some body of water, and one part of this bridge was just a narrow plank of wood that looked like it wouldn't have been able to support my weight, but somehow did.

;) That's odd. Sounds like a dream my friend told me about. Only it was Metroid, and there were cats speaking.   :P

OH YEAH!

I doubt any of you are familiar with Lostwinds (GO PLAY IT NOW!!!), but for those who are you probably know how easy it is to abuse poor 'lil Toku. Especially in the recently-released sequel; while walking on ice one small gust of wind will send the poor kid onto his face, then slide it up against the coarse surface (scratching sounds and all). Not to mention icy slopes to push him off.

So anyways I was playing Lostwinds 2 for a bit before bed the other night and had the strangest dream afterward.

I was standing on the icy cliff in Summerfalls (basically the starting point) and Toku was in front of me, with my back facing the cliff.

He made a sorta angry face and made that odd noise he makes whenever he gets hurt bad or dies. Over, and over, and over again. Then he started moving closer to me, still making the noise, but now louder. He eventually stopped right in front of me, so I had to look down. He made the noise one more time and, with a smirk on his face, pushed me off the edge.

Needless to say, I try my best not to hurt Toku anymore.  :-[

Hi no Seijin

So, I just had a dream where I ran into my 11th grade English teacher in Barnes and Noble, and she asked me to come talk to someone on the phone because she thought I would knew the answer.  So I was like, "Yeah, sure, whatever."  Except the person on the other end doesn't say anything.

Man, even in dreams, people are rude.

I usually have a dream where I have/want to meet someone, and I spend the whole "trip" searching for them , while never finding them before I wake up.

However, two nights ago I dreamt I had a girlfriend, however, she wasn't someone I had IRL.

Oh, I just remembered.

The other night, I dreamed that an Internet friend of mine and I were playing Brawl+ over Wi-Fi. I told her about it and also that I have obvious problems for dreaming it, but apparently, she dreamed practically the same thing. On the same night. And in both dreams, I think I was playing Link.

I found that pretty funny. :P

You never play anyone besides Link >.>

MagmarFire

Well, duh. :P

But I haven't battled her yet, so I wouldn't assume that she'd be accustomed to my maining him. Either way, what I'm saying is that we both had, more or less, the same dream. Epic cowinkidink right there.

I haven't had a dream in a very, very long time. I don't even know if I dream. When I'm asleep, I'm just... there...

Most people have a lot of trouble remembering dreams, but most likely you do dream. I can remember a lot of stuff in my dreams, sometimes recount it with perfect clarity and detail.

If you go into REM sleep (Which unless you had some weird neurological disorder is the case) you will dream. REM sleep is a basic function of the sleep cycle. Some people just have trouble reaching back into their consciousness for clues about stuff like that.

It is true that we forget most of our dreams, I usually can recall a dream perfectly while I'm in bed, but if I stand up I start to forget the details quickly to the point that the memories of the dream are very distorted

Then I have to sleep for a full year to get back my real memories XD

It's a common analogy that attempting to recall a dream is like cupping water in your hands-- the longer you hold on to it the less you have.

Also, I shall provide you with a dream I had recently that I found to be very unsettling for some reason.  I was out at some soon-to-be demolished parking garage structure and in the stereotypical shadowy part in a corner there was a portion of it that seemed to solidify into what can only be described as darker darkness.  The shape that had formed in the darkness began to amble towards me, and I, being the brave man that I am, hauled *** out of there.

...and of course it was inescapable.  At one point I had made it safely into the car that I just so luckily had, and I was about to turn the key (I had it in the ignition) when I heard a soft clicking noise from behind me.  I turned around and saw a half-eaten (like literally cut vertically halfway) face of a woman or late teenage girl, with long, black, ring-inspired hair that seemed to flow and grow and shorten in a terrifying, greasy yet not tangles mass.  The rest of the body was occluded in darkness but this thing was literally inches away from my face.  I kicked off the door (because of course I had superhuman strength) and ran through the door-shaped opening that was now the front left side of my car.
I turned as I ran to see it climb out of my car and I could see now that it had enormous arms and legs, not thick but long, pallid and mottled, with each arm and leg being about twice the length of a normal human's.  It moved started to skitter towards me, rapid and determined, with that hateful, dread-inducing intent that can only be conveyed in dreams and whispers.  I knew that I was only going to be able to run, that nothing I could do could prevent it from finding me and destroying me.  I was lucid at this point (but not beforehand), and I tried to wake myself up, tried to tell myself that it was a dream.  I was unable to.

I eventually found another car that I managed to start somehow, and while driving I saw the face (now mostly formed, actually) start to peer down from the roof of the car onto the windshield, smiling a wide, toothy, horrifying smile that sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it.  The eyes I don't recall much, but I imagine they were like a human's only just so slightly off as to cause extreme unease and a major mind****.  It didn't attempt to break the windshield, it just lay there, pressing its macabre face against the windshield, staring into my soul.  I tried to crash the car and of course that did nothing to it.

I ran to my house and hid in a completely empty room, and the second I closed the door I knew that somehow it was in the room.  I couldn't see anything, had no depth perception, had no idea what it was doing or where it was, whether it was inches away from my face or in the opposite corner of the room.  It was completely silent, it didn't breathe.  For the remainder of the dream, I just sat there and sobbed in despair.

I had been asleep for about 12 hours.

Amputees are terrible dreamers.

I always remember the scary dreams...

I haven't had a scary dream for ages, my dreams lately seem to be pretty real, I mean they are very unlikely and stuff but I never tend to dream of stuff that doesn't exist. If that makes sense.
Because I've been pretty focused on school and picking a uni lately that is what my dreams have revolved around, but they have mostly been very happy which is cool because in turn my dreams have made me happier. It's a win-win situation.
In one I was at this uni that where everything was decorated white, and the house I lived in was like me, then about 4 or 5 chinese guys. I don't think they spoke English but they were way fun.
Another one I had just last night involved the sixthform at my school (my year and the year above) all going on holiday to a tropical island together.
