oh yeah, sorry, got a lil carried away there, but the happy is back, finding the pictures, can't forget about that one.  ;)

DW

I can't believe people have nothing better to do then go around and mess with stuff like that...I'm glad I didn't go there..

yeah, expecially when it probably took that guy forever to get the site the way he wanted it, and some spoiled jerk had to go and ruin it for him or her, I'd be peed off at the guy who did that if it where my site.

Keaton

The most horrifying thing, when you think about it, was the fact that the 'kind folks' over at 420chan had nothing better to do than look for pictures of that kind of crap just to post on the beloved Zelda Universe.  They said they were going to do the same thing to TSA's site, or something along those lines.

Be warned!

Oh, and 420chan's basically some sort of hacking site or something... I'm not sure.  Look it up.

Fishalicious

Uh.. are you talking about 4chan?

Because... that's... a forum/porn place, I think. I've never actually been there, but... well, it's rather infamous. Though they did give us the joy of the ORLY owl, IM CHARGIN MAH LAZERS and who can forget, I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER?

MagmarFire

If ZU is an affiliate of TDC, then we're at a greater risk than if we weren't. We need to get access to the content of this site soon to ensure security. :-[

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Keaton

Well, I don't know if this is private or not, but the password to the server that they hacked was 'apassword11', so if it's any more complex of a password than that, you should be fine.

And besides, most servers have 64-bit, or even 128-bit algorithms that need to be bruteforced through in order to get in without administrative access... ZU just had weaker security...

DW

Wait, so they threatened another site? Can't they get charged for this? There's gotta be some kind of law against this.

MagmarFire

If the password is just a word, though, then it's possible that they could have a dictionary guesser (I forget what they're called) do it for them. They did it with one with numbers, so...

That's why I use passwords that are words, but not words anyone ever thinks of and aren't in the dictionary.

From Wikipedia

QuoteThe humor of /b/'s many users, who refer to themselves as "/b/tards,"[6] is frequently characterized by intricate inside-jokes. As a result, newcomers often find posts incomprehensible. In addition, /b/ is known to officially have "No rules," save for a ban on certain illegal content, such as child pornography and invasions of other websites, both of which are restricted by site-wide rules that also apply to /b/.[/u]

Say, TB, are you a moderator or something over at ZU?

Keaton

I can honestly say that I am not, although I really, really wish that I was.  However, I would like to pride myself on my knowings of the intricacies and whatnot of ZU.

...why do you ask?

darkphantomime

Eh, no reason... How'd you get the password? Methinks the guys over there posted it after what happened last night...

Keaton

Well, you would be correct.  They have a PR person over there right now who's talking to us to survey the confusion, and to console any of us who have questions about it at all.  They're handling it like it was some kind of experiment, but some of the things they did to the site were horrifying, and disgusting (even if a few of the pics they posted were not inappropriate, and even mildly funny, imagine Seaking nuking Hyrule castle...)

F******.
