If it were illegal, it would illegal in name only. Do you have any idea how many illegal activities go on over the internet, but the legal guys don't really caer about them? A-freakin'-lot!

But hacking IS considered a form of terrorism, but in most cases, it probably won't get pursued in a court of law, unless of course, it relates to personal information/identity theft/theft of property, money, credit cards... Oh yeah, and damage to government property.

Also, if they tried to hack into a major site like google, myspace, or ebay, said companies WILL use legal action to find and prosecute whomever that did it.

But in this case, there really isn't much you can do. They (The man) simply does not care.

:'( Well, thats not good. I wonder if it's possible to trick them into destroying part of the site...
I'll work on this.
EDIT
Does all the illegal drugs do anything for us?

Gamefreak

I don't think it's entirely ethical to trick someone into doing something wrong.  The ends don't justify the means in my opinion.

Penguin dude 2

Would you rather have them them wreak havic on all Zelda sites, taking out all the new members on all the sites? ZU can fix itself, and recover quickly. We would have fewer hackers, thus less risk to the community.
Does they're evidence of growing/distributing drugs do anything for us?

darkphantomime

What drug related evidence?

Penguin dude 2

Weed, hallucinagins, tha kinda stuff. If you look at their navigation menu, it has a large list of drug related boards.

darkphantomime

-_-*

And since WHEN is talking about drugs illegal?

Penguin dude 2

When you are growing them and selling them. ???

Twilight Wolf

If they've got full boards devoted to them, then one can't help but wonder if some kind of online dealing goes on in there.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Right, right... *coughs*

But drug dealing isn't the issue here; it's hacking. We want to stop the hackers, if the drug dealers go down, that's fine too. But our main priority are the hackers.

Individual boards on there are so big, it's like individual communities within communities. Some boards go over a million freaking posts. Different groups of people go to different boards, so if you think you're going to catch the hackers by going with the whole 'drugs are illegal' schtick, then it simply won't work because you've got the wrong people.

>_>

<_<

Some people are too naive and think that they can do whatever to improve whatever and stop all crimes of "A" nature.

Penguin dude 2

I was hoping the whole site might be shut down.

I agree. Those hackers won't care if it's illegal. They're gonna do it anyway. I mean, murder is illegal, but people still do it.

Gamefreak

Yes.  Since when has a law physically stopped someone from breaking that law.

DW

If anything it just encourages them...
