Now a thing that's up in the air: What's gonna happen to the Zelda community after all this? What of the Hylia? Zelda Wiki? Zelda Dungeon?

But those sites will always warn you of adult content before hand. You agree to those terms by entering the site. A lot of kids go to a Zelda site not expecting so this.

I'm just upset that the laws don't care for the net, when much of our society is based around it.

Okay, okay, maybe you can do something. But it would be next to impossible to charge THEM with any crime because of the anonymity of 4chan and the unlikelihood of the mods/admins to give away personal information on the matter of said hackers. THey're nearly impossible to trace.

Simply replacing with shock images isn't enough legal cause to go up against them in a court of law.

You might be able to target the site itself for hacking many, many other sites and henceforth, doing a great deal of damage in property... But such a case happening is only tenuous at best.

If they were to hack sites that had immediate repercussions to the real world, like Amazon or ebay or any number of public related websites, then said companies WILL push their metal through to seek legal action. But something like Zelda is feasible unless personal damages (And we're talking multiple counts and BIIIIIIG damages, not little fickle ones) are incurred.

They're not being nice to you, so why should you be nice to them? If they can be hacked, then it should happen. Epecially mods and administrators. Only for deleting the accounts, though, and banning them. I don't like hurting innocent people unless it's necessary to defeat hackers.

Has anyone looked at what the guys at ZU have posted about this situation?

I must say to everyone that trying to go these sites and trying to tell them to stop this from happening is a open invite to come back and try again. So, I must tell everyone reading this that if they know these sites and go to them, do not post on their sites. Leave them alone, let them be, and they will stay away for now. Whether they stay away for good, I do not know.

I honestly don't know what can be done about them... Obviously, trying to fight them would create more trouble than its worth because they owuld simply hack us. If you tried mentioning such things on those boards, where you're from, etc... You'd probably get flamed and invite the whole site to be hacked/flooded. Not a very pretty situation, is it?
