OoT sages.....

Its been a while since ive played OoT (im gnna try and play all the zelda games before TP comes out, my way of dealing with the delays) but what do the sages actually do? All i can remember is the rainbow bridge acorss to gannons tower?... or do they help with the imprisoning of gannon?

Yes, at the end of the game they are in Zeldas magic blast to hold off gannon. They also lend thier power to the master sword. They may do some other things, but im not too sure. If i missed anything, someone let me know.

They help breaking the barrier around Ganon's Tower.

I'm all for the completion without a guide. Its one o fthe things thats really satisfying..... talking to people about OoT... water temple i remember it well.... It takes alot of time to get all of the positions of places right in your head bt its fun none the less... keep going with it. The worst game ever for getting stuck is super metroid... grrr samus!

im like that too. I dont use a guide, unless its to find secrets after i beat the main story. Its just that, when its taken you 10 weeks, and then some. the same place would get real old real fast.

yeah it is difficult. And when i was younger i did resort to it. The main tihing that makes me avoid guides is the fact that i could be disowned by a cirtain gaming friend.

One thing I've always regreted are using the guides through OoT and the WW. I swear to Din, Nayru and Faore I won't use one on Twilight Princess

Firstly let me say that I agree with you Marcamillian, Super Metroid is one of the hardest games I have ever played (I completed it just yesterday. Yay!! ) and almost drove me to getting a guide. I still regret using a guide to find the last missile upgrade on Metroid Prime 2... But I try to avoid guides in the same way i avoid "make me win instantly" cheats.
