Threories for Fierce Deity's Mask

I thought it might be cool to make a thread on how the fierce deity / Oni Link mask  came to be. ive heard he was once a powerful person and even that he was a god (deity) punnished by din for bieng evil. Was he an evil magician that saved himself from death by sealing his spirit in the mask? , was he protecting people,  an acient sage ,  why was he on the moon? whatever. I want to hear what you think!

Hmmm... just thinking... just because its fierce doesnt necessarilly mean hes evil. Bt one thing i CAN say is WHOA! why cant we use the fierce mask anywhere else in the game

He is evil. Oni translates to forest daemon/ogre. And you can use the mask in other boss battles and, thanks to a glitch, Clock Town.
