In your oppinion, what is bad music? mine is stuff like Rap and hip hop, mostly gansta, I can listen to some, but not all of it, it sucks if you ask me. I mostly try to stick to Christian Metal or metal in general maybe some punk and alternative too.

Vaati

I agree. I don't particularly care for rap/hip-hop. Probably because the people on my bus want to listen to it so much. That Superman song...I wanna stab it to death!!!  >:(
I like rock, classic rock, symphonc metal, heavy metal. I don't really like Christian rock or whatever. Mainly because I think that rock and roll is for singing about love and hate and stuff, and talking about Jesus is for church.

There was never a bigger oxymoron than a term such as 'Christian Metal'.

I was thinking the same thing.  Except I thought "oxymoron," and not "oxymorpon."

Well, thats basically what it is, its christian, but yet its also metal, take Demon Hunter for one, they don't really scream, but they are christian metal. Don't ask me why, but its good either way.

Fishalicious

I don't care, but I don't like hip-hop/rap about butts and women... mostly because I don't like butts or women.

Christian Metal is terrible. In fact, you put the word "Christian" in front of any kind of music and it's invariably going to produce concentrated fail out of every one of its hideous orifices.

Country and [Insert Adjective Here] Metal are also major producers.

Edit: Rap and Hip-Hop go without saying, of course.

darkphantomime

What about Symphonic Metal? At least they try.

Commodore Axilon

Yeah, I meant more along the lines of Death Metal, or Black Metal, or whatever other names they have for it nowadays. You know, where it's not really music, but people screaming (or grunting!) at the top of their lungs while they pound on their guitar as hard as possible. It's like some horrific alien mating ritual.

Zoratunic

Christian Death Metal scares me. Here's an example:
JESUS IS LORD! JESUS IS LOOORRRD!!!!!!!!!!!

You fail, my friend, becuase we all know everything gets hotter when the sun goes down.

I find Classical Metal quite inspiring actually.

I do too.  I play it in math class every day and my grades have improved quite drastically.  I personally cannot stand rap.  I can stand the curse words but what I cannot stand is the "god-complex" rappers have and the degradation of women by calling them "garden utensils" and "female dogs."

Hi no Seijin

I enjoy some country.  Garth Brooks is the man when it comes to country.  Followed by Toby Keith.

Although, it's been a while since I've listened to country on the radio.  My mom listens to classic rock, which I also enjoy listening to.

But I guess I should say what kind of music I don't like, huh?  I'm going to have to agree with a lot of people in this thread and say I don't like rap, pretty much for the reason Aureliano listed.  You know, the whole degradation of women.

It's not so much that I don't like heavy metal.  I can't tolerate it.  It's not music; it's harsh noise.  A much more not mind disturbing way to describe it.

Horrific alien mating ritual?  What on earth do you read/watch? :-[

Charlie Daniels band is good for country.

Rap has got to be the worst music to be conducted from the depths of where it came. I love symphonic metal, metal, some death metal, a lot of rock, and techno beats.
