Like, the mass its self doesn't talk about christmas, even though its called the christmas eve mass. it talks about other things that have either happened before jesus him self was born or after. idk why, but its always like that. But oh well, it doesn't really matter. I was going to go on christmas day till I found out it was at 8 in the morning, I was like, I'd rather go at night when I am awake.

Funny, the last I looked, we are in fact celibrating Jesus's birthday in this very day. CONCIDERING HE WAS FREAKIN BORN ON THIS DAY. So your saying we just happen to celibrate presents on this random day? Oh burn.

Jdog, births don't just happen randomly.  Certain events must happen first; it's just that different events happened for Mary (looking at it from a Christian view, of course; after all, what proof do I have that Mary wasn't a virgin?).  Therefore, without those events that led up to the birth of Jesus, the birth of Jesus could not have happened.

Burn request denied.  Jdog loses 5 millions points for Hufflepuff House and Shika gains 5 billion for Ravenclaw (because we all know Ravenclaw is really the coolest house).

Are you familiar with the Christmas story?

It begins with Isiah, believe it or not, for that was the first person God told about Jesus, even though he wouldn't be born for a couple hundred years. It really picks up about nine months before Christmas, seeing as how that's when Mary became impregnated. She was a virgin, and she was engaged to Joseph. So when Joseph found out his fiancee was suddenly pregnant, you can imagine how well that went across. However, Joseph shows just how great a person he is by leaving everything behind to take her out of Nazareth, to have her child somewhere away from their hometown, so she didn't get rumors spread about her. They traveled hundreds of mile's on a donkey's back, Mary getting more and more pregnant the whole time.

The big thing about Christmas, though, is that it was God's response to our sin. Why was Jesus sent here? To take care of our sin. God could have very easily destroyed us all in a firestorm, and he did that in Sodom and Gomorrah. However, in this case, he sent Jesus. That's what makes it so special. We just used the specific day because that's when he was born, but his birth isn't all we're celebrating.

God, this argument reminds me of Deku Boy. Say...HNS, this DOES sound a lot like that argument, doesn't it...?
