Here's one for you. After OoT Link returned to the time just before he pulled the Master Sword out of the Pedistal of Time and went in search of Navi. Now I know Link has to start from scratch but Nintendo never explain why Link has lost his array of weapons such as his bombs, slingshot and boomerang. Explain that one Nintendo!!!Or any of you guys if you have a theory I'd love to know.

Davros

Link could have lost all his equipment on a gambling bet in Hyrule market town... or the skull kid could have stolen the majority of his equipment when he ambushed Link in Majora's Mask. He would have to be a very fast and skilled theif to steal all that stuff without it being seen though...

Shadow Ganon

Exactly what I mean my friend. I know it is purpously for gameplay however those lazey but brilliant slobs at Nintendo could give us a reason. Still I guess we get to use our imagination (again :-\)

Evilslayer

He doesn't have his equipment because it's several months after OoT, and he simply doesn't go wandering around with all that stuff all day. That's what I think. ;)

Davros

But if Link was going on a search to find Navi in MM and was entering what looks to be a completly new area of the lost woods he would carry some equipment around with him, if only for protection. Unless he had gotten so used to beating weak monsters in between Oot and Mm he was starting to get a bit full of himself...

Shadow Ganon

If child Link can use the Bow in MM then why can he only use it as an adult in OoT?

Shadow Ganon

Exactly so why not in OoT???? and is OoT the only game to feature a Slingshot????

Davros

Perhaps young Link in Oot is alergic to bow strings... But what I believe is most likely is that to make you feel you were growing stronger throughout the game (eg as you grew up) they gave you the slingshot as a child ( acting like a weaker less accurate bow) then once you had grown up gave you a more powerfull feeling weapon, the fairy bow. ( weird name huh?) As for your other question, yes I believe Oot is the only game where you recieve a Slingshot. (As I have not played on Link's Awakening before I could be wrong.)

Shadow Ganon

I suppose no other game has the need as in the others you recieve the bow early on, however I had some fun times with the slingshot and Nintendo should bring it back in perhaps not TP but the revolution or DS Zelda

Davros

Well, why not? ;D  If in Hyrule owls can talk and what look like razor wielding pineapples fly, why shouldn't someone be allergic to bow strings as a child?

medli

bcoz it sounds impossible.......yet i'm allergic to beans........ :-[

dan_the_man

especualy if he has grown up around grass and trees and stufff , hes bound 2 get hayfever and bow string allergies
