OMG
Remember how Pokemon did Firered/Leafgreen as re-makes of originals?
What if they did that with LOZ and AoL? Like make it 3D and such?
Still same map and such, just different look, with a few camo bonuses to other games, like how Fred and Lgreen did with the 9 islands?

That would probably work for the original Zelda, but for Zelda II?  I'm not so sure; it would take a lot of work to pull off a 3D Zelda II.

Besides, I want to see the Oracle games remade into The Minish Cap's graphical style, and the third Oracle game that was originally planned to come into fruition at the same time.  I'm sure all three can fit in one DS card, but if not, perhaps the DS features could iron out the original problems that prevented the third Oracle game from being produced.

Wall jumping in the side scrolling segments is mandatory.

They also did this with super mario bros, and it turned out really good. But I agree with whats-his-face, it would be hard to do one for Zelda II.  :P

Anyway, I heard that the next zelda will be for wii and that they started working on it right after they finished TP.  :)

I really hope they put Sheik in it.  ;)

My only worry about the next Wii Zelda, is that they turn it into a Wii game.

I know what I said.  I don't want my next Zelda game to feature the Balance Board, or to do stupid motion gimmicks.

Also, the option to play with the Gamecube controller.

Fierce Deity Link

I hope the next Zelda game uses the Wii Motion Plus. You can swing your sword any way you want and still kill creatures.

Mysterious F.

To HNS: I actually prefer the design used in Link's Awakening and the Oracles to the one in The Minish Cap. Also, the third Oracle was never released because they realized how difficult the code thingy system would be with three games. It would be fun, another Oracle game, but I'm pefectly happy with the original two.

Well, I agree with Gamefreak. All I want is a Wii game.

I just hope they make it more challenging. I seems like the newer games are getting easier and eaiser. :(

Shigeru Miyamoto has already announced that newer Zelda released will be geared towards a more "casual" (read, stupid and young) audience.  As such, they will only be getting easier from here.

Twilight Wolf

It's a shame... the next Zelda could end up as little more than an interactive movie. Swinging the Wii remote in the proper way shows what choice you wish to make, of course.

Ugh, hopefully it'll never come to that. If the next Wii Zelda is like "Twilight Princess" in terms of gameplay (meaning motion controls as a supplement to traditional controls), but with a bit more challenge involved, and, of course, a well-written story, I'd be quite satisfied.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

The Glamour Nazi

Yeah your right if it ends up like a movie that you just swing the wiimote around I'm gonna Kill myself and Burn my zelda memorabilia. I'm gonna write Mr. Miyamoto an angry letter.

In that order? Seems like it'd be tough to do.

Anyways, if it were to happen, I think there'd be an uprising of angry gamers that finally bring down Nintendo and their "casual games."

I'd like the next Zelda to be like "Majora's Mask," myself; if it were to incorporate elements found in "MM," it'd make it all that much better.

I was just checking Gamespot, and OoT got a perfect 10 rating. I don't remember where I heard this, (weather from DH92, Youtube, or here), but the person (whose name escapes me) who created the LoZ series said he won't stop making Zelda games until he makes one better than OoT. I can imagine the feud between him and Miyamoto. At this rate, I don't know how that'll be possible.

Where would Zelda games be if they weren't challenging? I mean, how can they make them hard without making them hard?

The Glamour Nazi

TW: You mean like the time limits? I thought those were cool but the mask things could have been a little less... Creepy. Also i didn't mean in that order...

FR: ALttP got a the highest wideo game score ever in five or more different magazines/websites. Also Shigeru Miyamoto created Zelda. A Mr. Anouma is working on LoZ now and has been doing so since WW.

Quote from: Nintendo Wii Fanboy .comSpeaking to Nintendo Power about his past work on most of the Zeldas since Ocarina of Time, Aonuma insists that he can't stop making the games, because he's yet to beat what he achieved with Ocarina. "I'm happy that a title I worked on some time ago remains highly praised to this day," he says, "but that also shows how none of the subsequent games in the series have surpassed it."

cacturnerules

Thank you.
Excuuuuuuuuuse me for forgetting his name, princess. It's late, and I was too lazy to look it up.

So I was right, then.
