I don't want to turn this into a polling topic, as these things tend to get mishandled on this forum.

Rather, it's more of a discussion on the movers and shakers of the gaming world this year.  I'll try to bring it down by console for my choices.

PS3:

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Unreal Tournament 3

Xbox 360:

BioShock
Can't think of any others right now (No, I'm leaving Halo 3 out on purpose)

Wii:

Super Mario Galaxy
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Multi:

Assassin's Creed
Rock Band
Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock

MagmarFire

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is certainly excellent. And I'll second that for Super Mario Galaxy. ;)

Wait, are we just naming great games from 2007, or are we naming great games from 2007 who got a Game of the Year award?

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Gamefreak

You're right, I forgot Fire Emblem.

And it's more of a discussion of what we thought were the best games of 2007.

Fishalicious

Rock Band was way better than Guitar Hero III. Sorry. XD;

Oh, and Bioshock was really good from what I've heard. I still really want to play it. >_<

I need to play Bioshock sometime...Mass Effect is also great. I don't think Gears of War is a 2007 title...Call of Duty 4, that DEFINITELY has to be up there.

Man, I hope you're joking.

Also, how are Metroid Prime 3(Wii) and Resistance(PS3) not up there? I hear they're pretty awesome.

Edit: Resistance is from 2006 apparently. I fail.

DW

Man, thanks for catching that Commodore, I meant 2007 title. Don't know how I made that mistake. I really have been stressed lately...

Anyways, Metroid was fantastic, I've played THAT, at least.

..

I really need to go next-gen...

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
No, says the man in Washington, it belongs to the poor.
No, says the man in the Vatican, it belongs to God.
No, says the man in Moscow, it belongs to everyone.
I chose to reject such rules and petty morality.
I chose to build a place where the artist would not fear the censor.
I chose to create Rapture.

And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city, too.

Bioshock is win.

Don't go all OMG on me, but I heard BioShock was good but vastly overrated... I wouldn't know though, since I've never actually played it. But I think Assassin's Creed won most of the awards on G4's X Play or Attack of the Show or something... I think I'll get the one for DS when that comes out (unless it has already). Now I'd get an Xbox360 just to play Assassin's Creed, BioShock, and Halo 3.

OMG OMG OMG
NO U DIDENT

I MIGHT CRYED.

Fishalicious

My cousin said the effects of Bioshock were generic scare things; things popping out and other pre-2000 horror flick tricks like that. That's just about all I've heard, other than it's awesome.

Does this include handhelds as well?
If so Phantom Hourglass.
If not I guess Super Mario Galaxy for me.

Gamefreak

You're right, I forgot handhelds.

Also, we don't have to discuss my list.  I was just going by what I thought.  Feel free to make your own lists.

For my DS games

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
