The End of the World. *Days of Ruin opinions*

So, first opinions on those of you who went and got Days of Ruin? I didn't get a chance to play it that much but what I've done so far is pretty awesome. I think it got at least 9's on most reviewing mags or sites, which is impressive just based on that. Also, does anyone share my opinion that Will looks like a girl?

I'm sorta disappointed, though, that none of the old COs are returning... Sami.... Eagle.....

Also! No neotanks or any Black Hole weapons because this is the future and Black Hole died out or they all died in the meteor attack! Motorcycles and flares though, but I miss my Neos... and Piperunners....

I really have never played the seires. Whats it about? Should I buy it?

Advance Wars is basically about a war between multiple countries and their armies. Advance Wars 1-3 were pretty much the same story and people, but continued. Days of Ruin (#4) has a whole new cast and setting and everything, unless it's so far in the future or past that there's nothing recognizable from the previous games.

Advance Wars 1-2 I think were mainly centered around a kid called Andy, #3 was about a new guy called Jake, and #4 is about Will.

Um have you played/heard of Fire Emblem before? If so, it's a lot like Fire Emblem, except you can keep making tanks and other weapons of mass destruction as long as you have the funds to do so.

Well when you play through campaign mode (the story) you don't get to decide which CO you want to play as. All the COs have different powers and advantages, such as better attack power on plains (Jake), longer range on distance weapons, stronger infantry units, etc.

But you can do multiplayer battles (up to 4 people) using just one Gameboy Advance/DS by passing it to whoever you're playing against when it's their turn, which is one of the features I like best about Advance Wars. Good for long car rides, but if it's a total n00b fight or you're so good you're both even, then you may get bored and just give up because it'll take too long.

And if you like strategy games, then yes, go buy it

Well I don't know how much #1 and #2 were (both for Gameboy Advance, I think...)_, but I got #3 for 20 bucks since I got it a long time after it was first released... Days of Ruin #4 was $35, I think (last two for DS).

If you can find #3 for cheap like I did then maybe you should get that one so you'll know what the older cast was like, but if you don't mind emptying your wallet a bit Days of Ruin would be alright. PLus WiFi, so I guess you can play anyone and you get to yell at them if they take too long with their turn.
