A mistake I need to own up to

If you recall, a few months ago, I got into an argument with a member of these forums called Evilbob.  I acted out of line and told him to leave the forums.  A week or so ago, I sent him this message.

Hello Evilbob, this is Gamefreak.  I know you're mad at me, and the forum for the way you were treated in your last days here and that is why I'm sending this.  You don't have to read if you don't want to, but I feel that I need to  own up to my mistakes.

I acted out of line arguing with you on that day.  I should have never told you to leave.  It sets a bad example for the other people on the forums to see their administrator acting like that.

Again, you don't have to read this if you don't want to.  You don't have to pay it a second thought, but I felt that an apology was appropriate.

After coming back from Florida yesterday, I got this message.

I can only wonder at what, after all this time, has prompted this
rather... unexpected message.
Perhaps things are changing at the Colossus, but, as a matter of
principle, I will not be returning. I have made my choice
If reconciliation is your goal, consider your apology accepted. But, as
I have already said, I shall not be returning.
If anyone there still cares, feel free to post this message on the forums.

As I said in my letter, I acted out of line and it sets a bad example of how this place works to see the administrator acting so childish.

I'm not sure about how much of a disucssion this warrants, but I just felt the need to get this out there.

Anyway, this friend mentioned that Evilbob had been going through some difficult times lately, so that may have had general concern of what was going on in his life at the time and his reasoning for not returning.
