Ah, just as quickly as it went, I'm grounded again.

I made an 85 year-end average in German. (Unfortunately, I took German and my parents will use any bad grades in that class to ground me)

I also made a 70 in Art the last six weeks (bright colours hurt my eyes and I really, really didn't want to work with them)

See you 3 weeks to a month.

Yeah, though. /: Well, that and I haven't cleaned my room. Cleanliness is next to godliness. (And godliness is next to loneliness.) So, bad grades + not cleaning room + supposedly spending all day on the computer (I get off for hours at a time, but they don't believe me) = grounded Fisk.

Also, my ankle is sprained/bruised. I can't walk on it. I don't know how I'm supposed to clean my room like that.

Yeah, but they're also supposed to punish them when they don't do as well as they want them to.

Eh, I'm feeling better now.

We just sat down and had a big long talk about it-it was more because I didn't finish the final project. I felt it went against what I believed in, but they said that shouldn't matter and that I should finish it regardless, and then tear it up or something.

Er, and that they support me. I've been hearing everyone at once lately- I confused my sister's spite with my parent's voice. >_> And she like, hates me.

Your parents seem rather strict. I mean, a 85 in German, no, and 85 in general year-round is pretty good. I mean, I got good enough grades in German this year to be able to take German II. Honors next year, but as for Global Studies Honors, I was lucky to even get a D.  ;) The other classes for me are fine, though, just that blasted Global Studies.

Grounded partially for a B-? It really makes you wonder what standards they set for themselves when they were in school. Still, really, it's just school. After reading My Ishmael, I can hardly imagine it being anything more than a detention center made to regulate the flow of workers in the work force...

Parents usually have WAAAAYYYYY too high expectations for their children, but this is only because they want the best for their children.

Still, I fail to see how grounding you will encourage you. While grounding a child teaches them to not do something bad (though a lot of times they still do it anyway), it shouldn't be used as a punishment for not doing your best. If I ever got grounded for getting a B, I'd go to my grandparents house and stay there until they apologized. *that's a hint, Fisk*  :P

My grandma has some form of Alzheimer's or Dementia. She babbles to herself and cackles late into the night.

My grandparents are close by, so that's just the one I used. You can use whoever you like, but a relative seems to be a better choice.
