Master Dragmire

I've managed to conjure up a decent theory connecting the maps of OoT, TP, and Lttp.

(You're gonna need all the maps in order for this to make sense)
OoT to TP:
1.Flip the OoT time map upside down
2. Move Hyrule castle north of Lake Hylia
3. Old Hyrule Field becomes the Faron, and Ordon woods.
4. Add New Death Mountain to the left of the woods
5. Add a desert behind Lake Hylia
6. Add new Zora's Domain farther to the North

There you have the TP map
Explanation:
Death Mountain extends past Kokiri forest
Old Hyrule Castle was destroyed
Deserts are vast

TP to LttP:
1. Take the same map, and move Lake Hylia further north
2. Replace the Old Lake Hylia with the Desert of Mystery
3. Snowpeak mountain dries up, and becomes Eastern Palace

Explanation:
Lakes move over time, the marsh on the LttP map supports this
Lake bed temple becomes Desert temple?( Memory loss)
How else?

Problem: the sun moves in the same direction in both OoT and TP.

Too many things move, it's like you're doing one of those face-morph things.  You could say Brittany Spears and Oprah are related simply by changing the geometry of the faces gradually enough until they match.

It's honestly not saying much, but I'm very glad that I'm not the only one who devotes his life to Zelda.

DAMN
A slight oversight
My whole theory is based on the fact that the Temple of Time/Sacred Grove has always been the same place, but it appears that it cannot be so.

Theres got to be a connection somewhere.
Perhaps the Kokiri forest, the Lost Woods ( LttP), and the Faron/Ordon woods are the same?
But this implies that the Temple of Time is in the Kokiri forest.
This is such a lost cause.

Master Dragmire

Ok this time I have it nailed down.

TP map is very similiar to the LttP map if it is rotated so that the Lost Woods is in the south portion of the map.
Two of the most obvious discrepancies, is the location of the Zora's Domain, and the Desert of Mystery.
I still believe that the marsh near Lake Hylia ( LttP ) was once Lake Hylia, and the Ice Temple  was once the Zora's Domain.
One thing I certainly cant explain is the Eastern Palace. What the hell is that place?

It's very plausible that Ordon eventually become Kakariko, and that Kakariko... well dissappeared.

This could ( or does ) tell us a lot about the timeline.
Depending whether or not someone actually agrees with me this time
;)

You don't need to make a new topic for this.

MERGING

Master Dragmire

Well I figured since this wasn't a very active board
Also I didn't want to double post

Not if your playing the Wii version, which is reversed.

Commodore Axilon

The Gamecube version is the canonical one.

Master Dragmire

Yeah, my friend told me that yesterday.
The map for the GC version makes my theory perfect.
I had no idea.

Commodore Axilon

I think you have it backwards.

Master Dragmire

Exactly
I thought the Wii and the GC were the same.

Commodore Axilon

So how does that make your theory perfect? What I said about the sun still applies.

Master Dragmire

Basically my first theory fliped the TP Wii map, but on the GC, I don't have to.

Instead of moving south, they move north.
Besides, in the Wii, the Sun moves in the opposite direction anyway, so if I flipped it, it would have been going the same direction.

Commodore Axilon

Do you think you could make a diagram? 'Cause I'm not so sure I'm following you correctly on this.
