I can't believe nobody realized this before me! Navi is the reason Hyrule is destroyed! If she hadn't left in Oot, Hyrule would still be ... not at the bottom of sea!

Commodore Axilon

How do you figure that?

Also, Navi hate? Oh ho, how original.

HylianHero92

If Navi didn't leave in Oot, Link wouldn't have to leave Hyrule in MM, he would've been there for Ganon's attack, the Goddesses  have had to flood Hyrule (with the exception of the protective bubble), and nothing in TWW would've happened! Oh and by the way, I don't want to start a debate on whether or not MM was the reason Link wasn't there, thats what I believe. :-* that was a mouthful! :D

PokemonMaster

Whoa, HH, I never would have thought of that.  You must have looked up alot to get that theory. :)

Thanks, but not really. I just thought about it.

Yeah, about that.  Even if Navi and, consequently, Link hadn't left Hyrule, Link was a Hylian, and there really isn't any evidence whatsoever that they're immortal, so it's very possible that Link could have died long before the flood if he hadn't left Hyrule.

The flood occurred long after Link died.

The end.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember in the WW pre-movie it showing that the villagers/townspeople praying for "the hero" to return.  According to the movie, the villagers are looking for the specific Link of OoT.  That would mean that to still be "looking" for him would to acknowledge that he's still in fighting shape. If that was the case, then it could be a mere 20-40 years after Link left when Ganon attacked.

Now even though 50 sounds too old to be saving the world, I played a pre-medieval fantasy type game where after I beat it I was around 70.

Even though that is HIGHLY unlikely that the flood happened less than a century after Link left, it's possible.

Me being as freakish as I am, I collect game guides. In the very beginning of my WW guide it has a bunch of Zelda facts. One of them is that most of the Zelda games occur almost 100 years after the previous one ended. MM is more like a continuation. So Link goes into the MM world, comes out waits about 50-60 years, dies, and then a few years later, BAM the flood.

What does his sexuality have to do with the timeline? I mean, really, I guess it means he wouldn't have kids, but still.

Alright, and in all seriousness, the flood had to have happened after TP, right? Or are they on opposite timelines? I forget.

Hi no Seijin

Either way, this theory looks more like an excuse to bash on Navi.

Yes, the flood is the most recent update in the Zelda series. So far, NOTHING has happened after the flood. So technically WW was the latest game timeline wise.

How do you know that the Hyrule of LoZ and AoL isn't the Hyrule that was found after PH?

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.
