And if the pieces of your puzzle went missing... Would you look for them?

So...
I've been thinking.
I've concluded that I don't know what I want out of life yet-
and I don't care.
So I might be a little immature sometimes-
Well, I think its fun.
And I'm going to have fun until God takes the breath out of me.
Nothing I want to say will be left unsaid,
and nobody's ever gonna tell me who to be.
I'll always be the same Alex you know and love until I'm put in a nursing home.
Wizened through personal experience- and only one kidney less, I'll wait for you.

Until you walk the mile, you won't know exactly how to talk to me then.
Wrinkled...
No hair...
No ambition anymore...
A vegetable of sorts.
An advice giving vegetable.
An Alex that's lost his vision- his spunk- and his imagination.
An Alex that no longer goes that extra mile to make you smile.
The boy that once shot life out his puppy sandwich sits in his wheelchair remembering life.
Because thats all it is to him now.
His life has halted.
Every morning, he'll wake up.
Change.
Eat.
Sit around remembering.
Sleep.
His life will be nothing but a memory-
unless you change it.
He wants to be able to turn to his right, and laugh with David and Cloe.
He wants to be able to turn to his left, and see Sean sneaking peeks under nurse's dresses, and see Barbara resembling her grandma from when they all were young.
Or you can fade out of his life-
He can turn to the right, and smile at nothing but the guy with the tapioca.
He can turn to his left, and see nothing but an open window with young people walking around.
He can fall asleep miserably, and hope not to wake.

I'm telling you all-
Live for the now-
and look not on the past.
Smile for the moment, and hug those you love.
Because in the blink of an eye, they could all be gone.
And you could be that lonely old man or woman sitting in the nursing home.

Don't take anything for granted- and grasp what you have.
Because if you don't hold what you love tight enough-
it could slip away into nothingness.
Don't let what you have become withered and bitter.
Keep it sweet like only you can.
Hold it close, and treasure it dearly-
because you never know when it could go missing-
And if missing it is, did you squeeze every bit of happiness out of what you had?
Or did you only wish for more?
Did you only crave more and more, until you had more than you ever wanted-
and will you regret it?
Realize it!!
Realize it damn you!
Realize what you have, and hold it tenderly.
Treasure it.
Don't let yourself be regretting your yesterday.
Live every day without regrets.
Its easy to say you don't have regrets.
But wait until the bitterness of reality slaps you in the face-
and you realize what you want a little too late to grasp it.
Its out of arms reach, and can no longer be embraced like it once was.
Remember this, and remember how you want to live.
Don't let your realities slip away.
No matter what happens, your realities are all you have.
Keep them close, and keep them safe-
before they disappear...

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

MagmarFire

Huh, and you say you're not much of a writer, eh? I believe this piece is a counterpoint to that. Nice. ;)

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Zelda Veteran

That was my soul speaking, thank you.
When I say I'm not much of a writer, I mean compared to most of the people on this site.

Master Dragmire

Indeed, he's right.
His writing is nothing compared to the elegant flow of my words. A sample:

Lolz you f4il noob g3t a life 4 r43lz

MagmarFire

Ah, gotcha, ZV. Because seriously, you're a great writer!

Although, to keep it fair to the other members, I'm...*gulp* gonna have to give you a warning for swearing in it. *flees to Mexico and then hides in corner*

Master Dragmire

That's right!

KNOW MY PAIN!

MUWAHAHAHA, MUWAHAHAHA!

EDIT: dont give him a warning, he said the d-word

MagmarFire

(Please avoid straying off topic here. This is quite a serious topic, really, and we ARE in General Discussion.)

Mags beat me to it, but yeah.

Master Dragmire

Whoops, my bad.

This could be moved to the Fan Works section if ZV, so chooses.

Anyway, ZV received a warning?

MagmarFire

'Fraid so. :'(

And Fan Works wouldn't work because it isn't Zelda related. GD is just fine.

It's quite sappy... I prefer to use a technique where the emotions are more out of control rather than sappy-sweet-sad. It's just that the sappy tone seems more pathetic than inspiring.

what exactly prompted you to write this? Bitter, hehehe...

You need more flow between the words, take out words that you don't need, not everything should sound like its following the structure of a sentence. You make a point, but that point needs more... vividness...

Also the title doesn't really make sense. No mention of pieces or looking.

Master Dragmire

Wait, he said d*** right?
Isn't that acceptable?
Idk, seems like you kinda jumped the gun, Mags, but if you think he deserves it.

Fishalicious

He said another curse, not just "damn."

Damn is, in fact, quite acceptable. I'm assuming the word that was censored, puppy sandwich, is a slightly more profane word.

I think the only reason damn would become unacceptable is if he were using it in the sense of:

"Dammit, Mags, I didn't say a damn word, I hope you're damned to hell and die!"

Er... in a threatening sense, in which he belittles a fellow TDCian.

Zelda Veteran

Oh!
Wow, sorry about that.
I originally posted that as a myspace bulletin, and I didn't edit it upon copying and pasting. Yes, we're all on equal ground here. I don't have any more rights than the common man here, and I deserve a warning. Thanks JQ, I'll take that into consideration and improve.
