Hi no Seijin

I just realized Square Enix missed a moment of awesomeness in Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.  They should have put Hollow Bastion in as a world; since 358/2 Days take place between Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, each time Roxas visited Hollow Bastion, it would be in progressive states of repair.

Funny how I didn't think of that until I got to Hollow Bastion in Re:coded.

So the Oscar noms for BP:

The Artist
The Descendants
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
The Help
Hugo
Midnight in Paris
Moneyball
The Tree of Life
War Horse

The winner will be The Artist. Shocked that Extremely Loud, which divided critics almost perfectly evenly, actually made it. Though for the record, I have yet to see any of these.

The only one I've even heard of is Moneyball.

Woah, someone made it through this year without running into the many, many adds for The Help? Although apparently the movie is best summed up with this poster:

Twilight Wolf

"The Artist: one of the most acclaimed films of 2011."

First I ever heard about it was like a week ago. Cool advertising, bro -- I apparently managed to be on the internet and watching TV now and then since it came out and not once had I ever come across anything about it.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Hi no Seijin

I'm watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the Gene Wilder version, and I just realized something.  Everyone who found a Golden Ticket should have suspected a set-up the moment they met "Arthur Slugsworth."  Think about it.  Wonka only employs Ooompa Loompas in his factory, where they live since Wonka took them away from their home country, which they hated, so they have every reason to be grateful to Wonka and remain loyal.  It's very doubtful they would betray Wonka and leak top secret information.  So how would Slugsworth, the president of a rival candy factory, know about Everlasting Gobstoppers if they were kept tightly under wraps?

How would they have known this? They didn't even know about Oompa-Loompas until after they were in the factory, and the kids wouldn't have had much time to think about Slugsworth with all of the magic stuff going on.

Hi no Seijin

They didn't have to know about Oompa Loompas beforehand.  What they would have known is that Wonka was super secretive when it came to what goes on in his factory.  No one even knew about the Golden Tickets until Wonka announced it.

You've had a lot of fridge moments lately, haven't you, HnS? ;D

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Childrens 1-4 are shown to be greedy idiots, and Child 5 would have been so amazed at the chance to get his poor family some money that he wouldn't have doubt Slugsworth for a moment.

Probably.

I wonder if Rowling named Slughorn after Slugsworth.

Hi no Seijin

Better question:  Is there anyone in the Black Family (barring those who married into it) who isn't named after a star or constellation?
