Help me Reprogram my Remote?

I bought 3 universal remotes.

This one worked. Up until a few days ago, and the single button I used it for won't work.

I threw away the packaging and apparently the manual the day before this happened.

Anyway, it's an RCA universal remote, and the code on the battery package thing is:

RCR212W R55N7 2814P

... If I can't get my TV back to INPUT mode soon, I will die inside a little.

Also, it says to go to www.rca.com/codefinder but that site's apparently down and won't work.

Looking at the universal remote we've got, there's a "set" button, which I assume is used to program the remote. Does yours have one?

NO.

All the buttons it tells me to press on these tutorials don't exist. It's got:

on/off
sat-cabl
TV
VCR-DVD
illumination button
GO BACK
INFO
channel + / -
volume + / -
mute
MENU
OK
1-0
SLEEP
INPUT

reverse
play
forward
record
stop
pause


and that's it. u__u no enter, no set, nothing.


Also, I have a Sanyo Television, since that matters.

I have a bunch of codes written down, but none of them tell me how to program it when you don't have a specific button for coding these things.

Auuugh I hate RCA.

Yeah... that... didn't work. o_o It turned off, and then turned back on, and I couldn't browse channels or do anything anymore.

Also, the RCR312 model is apparently not on any of these sites. It's so... ugh. I'm sad now.

Holy moly, I put RCR312 into Google, and I only got four results, and none of them sound right.

Well, I'm not sure what to tell you aside from go to the Dollar Store and buy a new remote. And this time, don't throw away the instructions.

RCA = Really Crappy Appliance.
I have some RCA equipment and it never worked for me either.
Its about time RCA just died, and made remote-control cars.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

It's not like they were that useful to me anyway-due to the amazing plastic sealing nowadays, I cut most of it with my boxcutter. And... you know what? Our remote in the living room is a universal that works.

I'll use that until I can find a way to stop killing remotes. (and the 5 bottles of glue/4 pairs of scissors I broke at work)

From now on, if you get a new one, just be sure not to get rid of the manual. Also, leave your TV on "input" mode when you turn it off. That way, it'll be on input mode when you turn it back on. That's how I do it, and it seems to work, so long as I remember to put it back on input mode before I turn the TV off if I had it on another channel.
