A long chain of extremely unfortunate events, resulting in us missing the flight. They only had 2 seats available the rest of the day, so we couldn't just wait to catch another flight.

All the money's wasted, yes. We're trying to see if we can get tickets for tomorrow, but it'll cost around another $600 to get down there

Man, that really sucks... I was wondering why you were online two hours after you were supposed to be leaving. Here's hoping things work out this time.

What happened that caused you to miss the flight? Or is it something you'd rather not get into here?

Well, first off we had difficulty getting everybody awake and moving. Then when we got there the shuttle to the terminal got delayed. Then the lines were horrendous. By the time we got to the bag checkin, the flight had left.

Unless, of course, if there was another way to the terminal. Was there?

Yes, we could have just gone to the terminal ourselves. Thing was, we didn't have anybody to drive us, so we wouldn't be able to park the car afterwards. And we can't just leave it sitting there.

Yeah, but my parents insisted we would be able to wait longer, because on the airport's page it said we only needed to get there about an hour before the flight. So...stepdad's pretty angry right now.

Well, technically we weren't going to Disneyland itself until tomorrow, and were going to spend today at the beach. So we're going to miss only a few hours of Disneyland itself.

So yes, this means we shelled out the money to get the tickets for tomorrow. Let's hope we make it this time.

The lady at the checkin said that if we had been dropped off at the terminal we would have been fine. The shuttle took over a half hour to get us there. Still, I'd never gone that late to an airport before, and the security's only gotten tighter since last time I flew...which was quite a while ago, now I think about it. We're leaving much earlier tomorrow, I hope.
