If you really think it could be something as serious as meningitis, you should go to the emergency room or a walk in clinic.  At least see some sort of doctor right away.  I don't think meningitis is the sort of thing you want to leave untreated (if that's what you have, of course).

Why does no one pay attention to EPILEPSY?!

Why it could be EPILEPSY! Because all that stuff that ZV just mentioned also applies to EPILEPSY; not JUST meningitis.

Darth Wyndisis

I wasn't saying that the symptoms didn't point to epilepsy, I was saying that if there is a chance it could be something like meningitis (which is potentially life-threatening) he should at get some professional insight to confirm that it is or isn't meningitis.

Does nuchal rigidity apply to epilepsy? (Serious question.)

Still, regardless of the answer, are you sure epilepsy should be classified as one disorder? Perhaps meningitis lies within the same hierarchy as epilepsy?

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Menengitis is caused by a virus.

Epilepsy has several causes, not all well-known.

MagmarFire

Actually, meningitis, from what I hear, can also be caused by bacteria and fungi.

And seriously. Does nuchal rigidity apply to epilepsy?

Whoops

Anyway, I'm not sure if epilepsy is associated with neckal Rigidity. It could be, but I'm not exactly a docter.

We'll just have to wait until ZV goes to the Neurologist/Neurosurgeon before we find out what's going on.

Aureliano

Good luck ZV, hope everything goes well

Hi no Seijin

How old is this?  Created August 28?

Methinks it's time ZV updated us.
Best.  Cane.  EVER!

Twilight Wolf

Agreed. We must have an update!

We care for you, ZV, so we're anxious to know how things are going.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Takun

I laughed so hard when you mentioned meningitis. It's nothing to laugh about of course, I only laughed because I've had meningitis.
Meningitis can be caused by bacteria or a virus. Viral meningitis is the better of the two, while bacterial is the one that can POSSIBLY be fatal. I was told that symptoms depend on the person. I wasn't allowed to open my eyes unless the lights were off and sheets covered the window. I couldn't move my eyes without any extreme pain, and I threw up everything I ate. Your friends are wrong to say that you would be in that state with meningitis. I developed the first symptoms two days before it got too serious to go to school. If it was meningitis you would know by know. It's not a disease that likes to wait around to cause you grief. And yes, it does have something to do with spinal fluids. The only sure way to tell it's meningitis, from what I'm told, is by administering a spinal tap. And as painful as that sounds, its not. That numb you up so much that you don't really feel anything. Anyway, I doubt you have meningitis, unless you've been sucking face with too many girls. Lol. Im gunna look up epilepsy now.
~Sincerely,

Or a fungus, although it's rare compared to the former two.

And not just possibly--bacterial meningitis actually has a high mortality rate, but only if it's left untreated. I'm rather sure meningitis as a whole is life-threatening, but the pathogen that causes it affects the likelihood of it being fatal.
