Pretty crazy what people will do to their PS3s, though. The way it works is that it heats up the CPU and thus makes the fans work really hard to cool it off. It can really shorten the life of your console if you screw up.

No, but they might be like the PS2 and accumulate dust really badly. It's not even a built-in feature; the proper and Sony-endorsed way to get rid of the dust is to use a vacuum to suck the dust out.

i've never had a problem with dust with any of my consoles before

and i never cleaned them out or anything

It's incredible how much dust is inside an old PS2. Seriously. I opened up my uncle's in an attempt to fix it, and everything inside was just coated with dust. Dog hair, too. Cleaning it out was no simple task, and after all of the other suffering involved with it, I couldn't get it to work.

Really frustrating.

Nope, I got nothing. It sucks... They wound up buying a new PS2 a few months ago, actually, one of those silver slimline ones. I think they were planning on buying a new one anyways, but they let me try to fix their old one before they did so just in case I got it working.

Also, while all of you were talking about anime and gaming systems, I got another certificate signed. Every Friday, another member will be chosen by me to take control of this topic and change the topic to whatever they want. I will decide by pulling names from a hat, mine included.
