Actually, there's a gas, sodium b-something (gah, I can't remember what, but it was on Mythbusters), that is denser than air, and if you fill a fish tank with it, you can make a tin foil boat and float it on the gas.

Oh, and balloons only float through air if the gas inside them is lighter than the air around it.

And it was simply a mistake in wording, not in logic. You know what I meant. Same with the air thing.

The boat wouldn't be floating on air though, it'd be floating on the gas.
