And yet ignorant people STILL think he's arab/muslim/terrorist. That's the point really.

Also, I just voted via Absentee. GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!

Takun

They hooked America into thinking he was Muslim by showing the footage of him not saluting the flag in the Pledge of Allegience.

There sure must be a lot of Muslims at my school then.

QuoteDemocrats are nasty too. But from what I've seen, Obama is smeared due to assumed ethnicity and color.

I'd like you to bring up one time that McCain has used that as an attack.  Obama's made his race an issue more than once, but not McCain.
In the USA times on October 4th, front page, with a picture of Sarah Palin and McCain it says, and I quote "Palin accusing Barrak of 'Buddying around with terrorists'."
The fact that Obama is alegedly Muslim has also been brought up once or twice.

The "palling around with terrorist" remark referred to Obama's relationship with domestic terrorist William Ayers.  Not the Al Queda group or The Taliban.

And JQ:

1. Those people do not speak for John McCain.  They are people with opinions on things.

Rush Limbaugh?  Of course he'd say things like that.

Pat Buchanan?  Same boat.

2. What John McCain meant by that one is up to anyone to interpret.  To say that he meant it as a racist attack is as much conjecture as any other interpretation of it.

3. And finally, regarding the e-mail.  As an Obama supporter, you should know all about people who are close to the candidate saying things or doing things they shouldn't have.  So don't act high and mighty on this point.

How about giving some examples of these  "people who are close to the candidate saying things or doing things they shouldn't have" on Obama's side?

Quote2. What John McCain meant by that one is up to anyone to interpret.  To say that he meant it as a racist attack is as much conjecture as any other interpretation of it

Then what's YOUR interpretation of what he said?

I'm paraphrasing these, so they're probably not exact quotes.

His former pastor, Jeremiah Wright: "God damn America"

His wife: "This is the first time in my adult life that I've ever been proud of my country"

His Vice-Presidential running mate: "If he's elected, there will be an international crisis.  A generated crisis, to test the mettle of this man"

He's no longer associated with his pastor, he has already broken all ties with him.

with his VP: Was that before or after Obama made Joe Biden his VP? If before, it is no longer valid.

With his wife, so she cannot express discontent with this country as it has been over the past 2 decades with so  much corruption in power that we have seen?

He broke the ties with Wright "after" he found out he said those things about America.

And Biden said that maybe a week ago.

There's no denying that our country is going through a crisis right now though. What with the economy in shambles, and George Bush all but a lame duck.

alical

The whole world is going through a crisis, it sucks.
I hate the credit crunch, we had our speech day the other day, and our guest speaker just went on and on about our recession, likening it to the Cuban missile Crisis. So depressing.

There really isnt a point in saying that McCain will some how get this country to do better with the snap of his fingers. This country is gunna be in a ditch for another president or two. Thats all they really aim for, is to fix the mistakes the former one left, make their own, and repeat.

I'm not saying that McCain is God's gift to America.

All I'm saying is that I prefer him to Obama.

Also, fun fact.  I live less than 20 minutes away from Joe the Plumber.

I was under the impression that most of them care more for being reelected than anything else.
