The next poster, who we'll call Person B, quotes Person A's post, edits the quote to say something different, and then says "fixed" to indicate that the post has been edited.

Then another poster (Person C) quotes Person B's post and does what Person B did to Person A's post.

I like to point out people's flaws.

Then another person comes along and does the same.
