A way to get members to join?

It seems too me that people are not joining this forum very often like other sites...we need something creatively awesome to get people to come to the forums and join, its the same people on every day with 4 guests who never join. we need to do something about this.

Maybe an advertisement. Put an ad on alot of Zelda related sites.

Or, have the front page updated more often...

You mean like, institute a clan system, start a podcast and maybe make a radio-show about Zelda?

I understand we have a clan system already, but I am just saying and making a notice that its the same people on every day and i would like to see some new faces here.

you're absolutely right, and the most annoying part of it all is that there's really nothing we can do at this point without spamming other sites.

Personally, I think we're fine the way we are.  New members are always welcomed (providing they're good new members), but there's nothing wrong with the close-knit band of misfits we already have.

I'm fine with the users we have to, but I wouldn't mind seeing some new faces here is all...

New people are good, but one of the reasons I joined this forum was because there werent so many members, that way it is easier to get to know people. just sayin.

Good point. It is always difficult learning faces when dealing with a huge number of members.

I like how it's smaller too. It reminds me of Christmas dinner (when I was younger).


You could sit at the kid's table, where you got to joke around and have fun, and be yourself, because everyone knows you.

Or, you could sit at the adult table. There are a few people who you are comfortable with, but you have to watch yourself and you don't really know most of the people.


Kid table pwns in that scenario.

Also, uhh... well... What would you guys say to 3 new members? I can get 3 of my friends to come, but only one has a Zelda game, and it's only played by his mom.


Anyway, I could get them into the Chatboard, GD, and the games, but that's about it. (For now. (I've actually yet to complete a Zelda game. With my wii getting broken, and then gettibg grounded from it for a looooooooong time, I haven't gotten around to playing many of them.) But they can come if you guys want.)

I'm on a pretty popular forum site as well, I bet I could recruit some New faces. They're all roleplayers/writers too, so we could probably pump some life into those threads as well.
