Requested is a nice way of the army saying "come back NOW, we mean it".

The Marines has requested my enlistment several times; several times I have declined.  So obviously, "requested" isn't another, nicer way to say "(re)join us or else."

So, um, how about you get off Tacheon's back about his reenlistment?  If this is something he wants to do, then we should be supportive of him, even if we don't want him to go.

When did I say he shouldn't go? You misunderstood. If he wants to go, then I support him. It's just that there are several people who have been stoplossed against there will. (I think stoplossed in the word for it, I'm not entirely sure)

I've had it.  My long-time friend relayed some horrible information to me, information that I do not care to share with you.  Let's simply say that when I was informed of it I actually went to the Army recruiting center and ordered a full stop on my paperwork-- I will no longer be entering the Army.

However, for fear of the dreaded Black List, I will instead be joining the Navy.  I will enter at the lowest of enlisted ranks, but whatever... I will be entering as an Intelligence & Communications specialist, and again I am actually rather excited about this.  Still though, it's a shame things are turning out the way that they are.  However, this means that I may not be leaving until closer to December, which is awesome.

Appreciate it, but it shouldn't make a difference, in all branches the enlistment period is 4 years.

I'd ask where you're going to be stationed, but as an Intelligence and Communications specialist, I get the feeling you won't be allowed to tell us.

So, as a more general question, are you going to be stationed on a ship, or is I&C a shore duty type of thing?

Man, both of my parents were in the Navy, and I have no clue if I'm using the proper terminology.
